Dr. Paolo Felix Gerbasi, MD

Dr. Gerbasi profiled my hearing loss as “too much rock music” without even inquiring about the condition. In addition he didn’t like my answer to one of his questions and accused me of not answering telling me he knows when a question isn’t answered because he has five kids. He is abrupt with a negative attitude.

Dr Gerbasi allowed me to be in agony for more than six weeks with a blown L-4 L-5 that spread it's debris at the formation of the sciatic nerve. He insisted that it was just inflammation and referred me to physical therapy without anything more than a perfunctory external exam. I asked for an MRI, but was told it wasn't necessary. When I returned to his office requesting more pain meds, (it was painful to simply hold still) I was met with hostility and told that he would only consider that after an MRI which was what was needed from day one. When the results came in, he insisted that I speak with a surgeon immediately as this was a very serious condition. He never once apologized for his arrogance, or the fact that he was too busy knowing all the answers before I even opened my mouth to speak. I will never forget having my wife help me get dressed and tie my boots so I could go to work. After all it was just inflammation. Right?

Very thorough, great listener, and explains things in non med terms. Wonderful beside manner and very courteous. Great follow-up.
