Dr. Parag Jitendra Shah, MD

If your looking for a primary care doctor we advise you not to choose him. He will come across as very nice but that’s where it ends. If your in the hospital he will never see you.

She went to Dr. Shah for many many years and never once did he mention she had a heart murmur. How does a doctor miss something like this?

Dr. Shah took care of my Dad and now takes care of my Mom who is 87 years old. He is a very good listener, asks the right questions and I couldn't be happier the way he has treated my parents. When I have had to call, he has returned calls within the same day. I understand it is hard to get an appointment with him but my Mom loves him. The only bad thing to say is that he is not associated with Nyack Hospital which is a shame.

I am a physician and so I know what goes into being a good doctor and Dr. Shah has it all. He is bright, extremely knowledgeable, competent, a good listener, knows how to take a relevant history, and is warm and friendly to boot. A+++++

Have been seeing Dr. Shah for 4 years now. He is through, always comparing to me my past 3 profiles with the current one and following my trends. He is personable, extending my visit for my annual physical to ONE HOUR. No doctor does that! I'm always impressed by his listening skills. He is accurate. He continually shares with me the latest research and data studies that apply to my conditions, blood work, and exam. Each year he updates me on that research data specific to my health. He is careful. He always asks me the litany of questions required for a careful health evaluation as well as those investigating my current emotional well being. He records the entire examination on the computer as we talk and makes it ALL available to me on MyChart, the practice's patient portal. He does this all while maintaining excellent eye contact during the entire visit.

My initial visit was excellent. He listens to your questions and responds well. I’m confident he will be a terrific primary care MD.

Met him when he was caring for my father. He was clearly brilliant and caring. Just had a physical. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and caring. Was able to explain things clearly. Had referral doctors for specialties, and asked first about my preferences. Expect a wait - he is very popular and spends the time it takes to listen and evaluate.

Bad practice. Disinterested doctor. Nasty staff. In and out!

Dr shah is more interested in his computer than actually spending time listening to his patient. My father is hard of hearing and he had his back to him the whole visit. His bedside manner is awful. His exit staff are rude

Rude superior staff who left me hanging without prescriptions more than once.Tries to fit in too many, runs from patient to patient without properly assessing. Proscribes meds rather than treating. Misdiagnosed a series of heart attacks and told me to come back in 6 weeks. Assigned me to another Primary care Dr. in the same practice without consulting me.
