She told me I need a "thinking pill." What is that? What are the side effects? /s

She is incredibly patronizing, and talked to me in a considerably judging tone. When I am in there and she has med students "observe," she puts on a show for them and basically talks about how much she knows, and references all these books without actually talking to me or discussing my issues. Also, she grossly overprescribed me at least 3x as much Xanax as I need.

This doctor is a sweet woman in her own right, but she DOES NOT LISTEN to her clients. When you offer her information or try to let her get to know you, she responds in a judgmental, rude, and obstinant manner versus trying to understand you. She attempts to give words of wisdom, but her "wisdom" is generally off-putting and unhelpful. I would like to see someone who actually cares to hear my perspective before scribbling a script and lecturing me about having one cup of coffee in the morning and one glass of wine on a Saturday night at dinner (which is completely unrelated to my reason for seeing her). Finding another psychiatrist as soon as possible.

When I found out thatmy insurance didn't cover my appointments, it's funny how the billing went up higher than agreed upon in the beginning and when you put people back on Medications they need and have a small problem with one and do all that is asked of you and are specifically told " I don't care about the money", there is something definitely wrong when most of the conversation is how do you intend to pay for your appointments, and being charged $250 for a 5 minute conversation with the owner of the office. She completely cut me off after prescribing medications and then being told that she can no longer treat me when I raise a red flag about the way I am being charged and a complete waste of time. If she is getting paid good and you have great insurance or paying cash, she will want to see you often. Otherwise there have been three people I have seen her give three or four refills of Medication that people should be seen monthly for. But if her time is being wasted by Medicare… Patients, they will get refills because there is no incentive for her. Now take a great insurance company that pays or even a cash paying patient, and all she will see is dollar signs. And to actually say that she doesn't want a patient in her pockets or to deal with anything dealing with lawyers.....I see someone who has probably gone through that a couple times or more and thinks that once you go in and 2 minutes later she is writing her scripts for you and depending on how you are paying, insurance or selfpay...seems to equal to how many refills or actual care she will give you. She is a Glorified Drug Dispensery that could care less about how your life is going. She doesn't care about money so she says, but is working past 70 yrs of age and insists on you signing waivers to protect herself from Authorities or the Board of Medicine.

My first visit with her was wonderful. We really bonded. After that they are just 20 minute appointments, but she is basically just monitoring my meds.

Dr Chandarana was very unprofessional, demeaning and accusatory to my son today at his appointment. I would strongly not recommend her to any patients.
