Dr. Paraskevi Orfanou, MD

Find yourself a doc that cares! She is RUDE, no bedside manner. Ordered tests for me and refused to speak to my insurance company to get tests covered. Staff called me and told me to get tests done so I did with the order she wrote for me.Found out after it wasn’t covered simply bc she refused to precertify me for said test that she ordered. Even when insurance called the office after to backdate the cert she refused to talk to them!!! Now I have to appeal it after bc the time frame in which the insurance accept backdated pre certifications ran out. Never bothered to call me with results. I had to call to ask for the results and she couldn’t be reached bc she left the country for a month! So I am supposed to wait a month for her to call with results!?? Unacceptable ! She should do the job she’s paid to do which includes insurance processing! Now I’m spending hours of my time working things out with the hospital and insurance company so I don’t get stuck with a bill that’s thousands!… Possibly she’s miserable in her profession!?? Not warm at all, rushes you during appt after I waited an hour and 10 minutes to see her. I never mind waiting for a doctor who runs behind bc they are spending time with other patients and then gives me the same attention. This is not the case with her. I waited only bc she thinks she’s better than everyone else! I will make sure all of my doctors know to never refer to her! I was originally referred to her partner who my doc said is fab but she’s out on medical! The office offered her so I took the appointment! My doctor told me the pre certifications would’ve taken her 5 mins! WTH!!! Do not go here!

Dr. Orfanou is an excellent surgeon. She has great bedside manners and listens well. She is gifted at what she does. I would highly recommend her to others. She even came as a recommendation to me from someone else.

Dr Orfanou was on time, professional and performed a wonderful robotic hernia repair. On the same day of surgery, i had mobility, no pain, and minimal discomfort. I was able without pain meds to sleep through the night and get out of bed with little discomfort, considering the procedure that was performed, i would consider the experience to be 5 stars,

Dr. Orfanou was very kind and compassionate in delivering the news that I had stage 2 breast cancer. I felt very confident in Dr. Orfanou's ability and treatment plan to treat the cancer. I was very satisfied with my surgery and follow up care. I would recommend Dr. Orfanou to any woman going through this very difficult diagnosis.

Great Doctor!

I was referred to Dr. Orfanou for my second lumpectomy when Dr. Dubay was out with an arm and hand injury. I was scared and didn't want to go to a second Dr. for the second surgery. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with Dr. Orfanou. I am so glad to have traveled the journey with both of these female Doctors. If I had it to do over again I would have done it the same way. She is companionate, caring, and just a great human being. My hats off to Dr. Dubay and Dr. Orfanou. xo

I've heard nothing but positive things about this surgeon and how "great" she is. From personal experience i'd have to agree. I almost had a splenectomy but with conservative treatment and time i was able to advoid it with her help. however, a year and a half later i have not been able to ontain a follow up appointment and she failed to call me back when i was worried about my spleen when it had started to hurt again.

Dr. Orfanou is an excellent doctor. She performed surgery on my abnominal hernia, and there were no issues whatsoever. She has a very pleasant demeanor, and is very down to earth. I would highly recommend her anytime. Because she has so many patients, the wait time is longer than usual. Also, the staff seems to just go through their routine, with no extra effort.

The best doctor I have ever had. Every time I met with her I felt that I has in good hands.

I would recommend this doc to all women who need breast cancer surgery. She is wonderful, caring ,thoughtful and kind. Not to mention very good at her job!
