Dr. Paraskevi Sapountzi, MD

if I can give a zero, I would. I was absent from work to see Dr Sapountzi but my gps driving directions took me to the wrong address. I called the office and was told to come. I was only 15 late and I called at my scheduled appointment to tell them I got lost. I feel so bad for I called them and inform my situation and I’m only late 15 minutes. No compassion and consideration. I will never recommend her practice. Stay away from this doctor.

Paraskevi Sapountzi is an irresponsible provider. She is biased towards minorities, does not follow through with the care of patients, and will fraudulently order unnecessary labs without any discussion. She will rush through the visit and make rude remarks along the way. It is not surprising to see the negative reviews of this doctor and clinical throughout all social media platforms. Perhaps, I should have looked at these reviews before my mom’s visit. Here are a few examples from Sapountzi’s care: 1) Despite having an A1C of 6.4, she switched from oral meds to insulin. No explanation was provided on why. 2) She “educated” my mom on using the insulin pen. Three days later, I found that my mom had been incorrectly administering her insulin. 3) My mom had several episodes of hypoglycemia and high glucose readings after lunch and dinner in the last month. Despite such readings, she was not bothered, and to be honest, she didn’t even read the readings from the meter to understand what… was going on. 4) At the most recent visit, she told me (in her exact words): “We have American dieticians who won’t be able to help; it is up to you to figure out your diet.” I clarified that my mom is an American citizen. 5) At the same visit, she ordered labs without mentioning a single word. Previously, she had repeated the same labs that a primary care doc ordered only a week before. Despite knowing this, she decided to repeat the labs. This is simply fraud because she can easily access or even ASK for the lab results. She did not and will not discuss the labs with patients and blindly order after the visit. It wasn’t until we insisted that her nurse share more info that we realized a set of 10 labs was ordered. The nurses working at this clinic were super lovely. I hate seeing such friendly people dealing with clinicians like Paraskevi Sapountzi. I can't speak about the other clinicians at this clinic. As a healthcare provider, I hope you or your loved ones do not have to go through this type of care.

Every person I have interacted with at this place was rude. The receptionist was rude and acted like she didn’t want to be there and the doctor has the worst bedside manner.

Dr. Sapountzi has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen. Finding a good endocrinologist has been very hard for me to do and since I have hypothyroidism I need to continue to see one. She is rude and I always dread going there. Her nurse, kelly is also rude. I called once regarding a concern of mine and she laughed about it acting like my concerns were a joke. I’m not going back. If you like doctors with poor bedside manner this is the place for you, if not I recommend going elsewhere.

I enjoy seeing Dr S. She’s very attentive and knowledgeable.

Once, I asked Dr. Sapountzi why she suggested a certain route of treatment, her answer was "this is the way I do things". I felt this experience is indicative of the care I had with Dr. Sapountzi. I felt very much like a name on a paper. My questions were thrown aside because there is a clear way she does things, and her treatment is not individualized

she told me we do not do not we do not ask insurance to lower Tear of medication, when they ask for it,we don do free sample of medication.She don know side effects of most drugs for diabetes.She told to take follows up appointment.She was told she be informed when time come to see her.She is a liar to.

I walked out of the office FUMING. My first appt with her, she prescribed thyroid meds in a very small dose. Once I switched Drs, I was told that I was dosed incorrectly. My second (and last) appt with her, I was taken in late, she sprinted in with a cold, coughed all over me, spent about a minute and a half talking to me and was on her way out the door. I stopped her to ask a few questions "on the fly" to which I got. "I don't know why you're not feeling well. Just do what I keep telling you to do." and then was told to come back in a few months. No, thank you.
