Dr. Parish Subhash Vaidya, MD

My mom has been through so much due to her chronic back pain. No other physician has taken the time and effort to care for her like Dr. Vaidya did. He cared for her as a family member would. I was so impressed.

He does not take pain patients seriously and then accuses them of being addicts. My dr recently became unable to continue to practice due to his own personal problems. So I began looking for a new pain management doctor and I went to Dr. Parish Vaidya. I had been a pain patient for many years who has a well documented history. I have been through numerous surgeries and you can see the damage on x-rays. There has never been any question before as to whether or not I truly needed pain medication before. But when I went into my appointment with Dr. Parish Vaidya I was treated like a drug addict right off the bat. Most likely due to the way I look and my ethnicity. His solution was to offer me suboxone. He was completely dismissive and did not take my pain seriously. It is humiliating to go in and see a doctor to try and get medication you legitimately need only to be dismissed and treated like a drug seeker/addict. And not only did I get treated this way and leave the appointment feeling… humiliated and dismissed but I had to PAY for the privilege of it. Several hundred dollars spent on being treated like trash. Luckily the very next doctor I saw actually took me seriously and I was able to get the medication I needed. Which should say something. Because if I was a "drug addict" as Dr. Parish Vaidya suggests I would've had a lot harder time finding a doctor. But I am not I am just a legitimate pain patient who needed a new doctor and was put through all of this by someone who was supposed to help me. I truly believe I was discriminated against because of my ethnicity, the way I dress, and talk. I'm not as well off or educated as your typical white Los Gatos patient. But that doesn't make my pain any less real.
