Doctor has the worst bedside manner, won't listen to you after surgery, especially if you are in more pain after sugery. Does not want to see you post surgery if you'r still experiencing. Office staff are so incompetent and rude

This dr operated on my husbands neck 6 times in 5 weeks. Infection was spread during surgery into the wound. A suction wound vac was used that pulled out spinal fluid for a total of 21 days before he or any other hospital dr realized it. He is now handicapped and has lost his business that he loved. There was no aftercare and because he makes his peers and nurses fear him everyone pretty much left the care up to him. This is something we will always regret. Our lives are changed forever.

He is a miracle worker and he saved my life.

Waited 6 months to see Madsen. He told me he didn't care about my pain. I guess he didn't care about the lesion on my cervical spinal cord either. Turns out that I might have MS, but he didn't care. 5 months later I'm now at UCSF/Fresno and they are great. They actually care. Stay away from this quack. Go to a real neurosurgeon who cares about people. Read reviews on this guy and you'll want to go elsewhere.

Dr. Medson operated on my spine C-3 throu C-6. I was walking five miles within a week and in two weeks ten miles a day without pain medicine. I have full range of motion in my neck and feel wonderful. I have gone back to my active lifestyle of running 1/2 marathons, mud runs, hiking, snow-shoeing. He is a good listener...will not operate unless necessary...well spoken of by collegues...nationally recognized...follows-up carefully and has a great staff. I tell all my friends, relatives, and anyone who will listen he is the nuero-surgeon you want to operate on you. I have met several of his patients during rehab. they were all happy with the results they got. Likewise I have friends who had other doctors including from Sansung...who did not have as good of results.

Dr. Mandsen is the best doctor that I have ever seen that follows through withwhat he says and he is truly concernedabout his patients

please be extremly cautious when choosing a dr to operate on your body being its the only one you'll have in this lifetime! i first went to madsen in 2006 and performed a micro diskectomy n lamanectomy l-5 s-1, woke up in more pain than before surgery, felt as if there were a band around my toes, his p.a. lady(not worth mentioning janet delgado) insisted nothing was wrong with me, rudely insisted i just needed to walk and that i was lazy! never got to see the dr. whom performed the surgery ever again.i lost my position at my job and needless to say insurance, finally in 2009 after being permanently disabled and recieving medicare went to stanford un. where i was informed that there was a bone fragment encased in scar tissue wrapped all up with my nerve and severly calcified. i have the fragment still they cant remove it!i suffer from extreme pain, weaknesss, drop foot, if this dr. would have just looked ( 1 simple mri) i wouldnt be suffering permanent damage. gee thankx

dr madsen refused to c me after surgery. as well as refusing to give me my medical recodrs( when i finally obttained them through a lawyer ironically the surgical report was missing) . he failed to respond to my severe pain complaints . after several visits to the office and only being able to see his p.a,i grew tired of her verbal abuse and disreguard for my pain, which left me w/ severe nerve damage and permanetly disabled. i went through other local physcians none of which would even attempt the surgery i needed to delicate needed specialized carefinally three years later, when i qualified for medicare, i got some immeaditate help needed @ stanford hospital, unfortunately for me the nerve is severely damaged due to non treatment of an immediate re herniation which could have been prevented if madsen had followed protocol by doing an immediate MRI or x- ray of some kind, im going to have to have a neurostimulator implant to see if it might aliveate some of the chronic nerve… pain in my lower extremities that im constanley having to endure.
