Dr. Partam Manalai, MD

Beware. Get your records. He was part of a fraud scheme. I was handed to Dr. Partam by a prior fraudulent doctor suddenly going on vacation. He started by falsifying claims to justify continued imprisonment - including suddenly conditions of release that I had never been told existed and in some cases had already satisfied (or been lied to in order to hinder me from satisfying). The next day, I began to learn of the false claims, so demanded to speak with a ‘patient’s rights advocate’. He immediately arranged for release - in a manner he had previously dismissed - but falsified the records to hide our interaction, to cover for prior fraudulent doctors, and to make sudden release look legitimate despite the prior fraudulent claims. He handed me folded papers and spoke rapidly about me being released, discussed almost nothing, and left - then falsified records as to things discussed to make it look like he did all diligence. Release papers deliberately avoided almost all of the fraud in… the records - leaving me no idea why they did what they did to me - except three claims from the doctor that originated the first fraud (several fraudulent doctors prior), whose entry he only had because a prior fraudulent doctor breached HIPAA to mine it for claims. Then he fabricated a list of things ‘treated’, several of which had no prior pretense toward existence of anywhere, several of which were demonstrably impossible, to maximize claims to insurance and try to retroactively make it look like they did any good, instead of destroying me for quick ill-gotten gains. Apparently I became a risk of discovery of their fraud, so he got me out ASAP, tried to cover tracks, and tied up loose insurance ends to maximize insurance. He was one of a string of fraudulent doctors at the Novant Health / UVA Health System / Prince William Medical Center. Evidence points to an insurance fraud scheme, involving illegitimate hospitalizations of gullible or vulnerable people, numerous rights violations. Turns out it’s a common problem; at the same time as they were having their way with me, another company in the same area was settling cases for having done the same to others. SO, GET YOUR RECORDS. If you were also a victim of his/their fraud, please report it to the VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, and also, particularly if more than one doctor is involved in the crimes, the VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

Dr. Manalai is a professional that uses effective approaches to evaluate and diagnose mental illness. I am a patient that suffers from several mental illnesses and have been seen by doctors that did not properly take the time to evaluate my specific symtoms. They would just prescribe a combination of medications that was frequently given to patients with my specific disorders. Dr. Manalai is very patient and and professional. He was able to properly diagnose me and prescribe a combination of medication that stabalized me within a few months. He will not just give you medication and send you on your way he actually analyzes and gives a proper diagnosis. He make sure to follow up as he should and reevaluate as needed.

Dr, Manalai and his team cancelled my appointment upon arrival due to an "emergency." His team at first told me they would have me seen by another psychiatrist, but then they changed their plan and said they would call me back to reschedule as soon as possible. I waited 6 days to not hear anything. This is extremely unprofessional, and careless behavior for patients with mental health challenges.
