I never even got to speak with the doctor. He came highly recommended from a current patient. I called and sent my paperwork and ID as instructed by the office staff. I was informed if I returned the paperwork immediately I would get an app for the following week. I did and called as soon as I the documents were sent to let them know I had sent them. I received a call more than 48 business hours later asking if I was planning to submit my paperwork. I called again and left a message letting them know I had sent it and called to let them know I had. I received a scheduling call back very quickly. She scheduled me for 3 weeks out and I took it. She the. Told me that the office policy is that no new patient appointments can be rescheduled for ANY reason. So I said wait...what if I'm sick or my kids...I can never be a patient then? She said no. So I said, well, you told me if I sent my paperwork immediately I'd be scheduled this week. She said 'well you sent it via text '. Yes I did. As… you told me to. And you lost it. So you gaslight your patients. Not a great look for a psychiatrist's practice.

He will make unnecessary phone calls and charge you as virtual visits once you pick up and talk to him. Those phone calls can be made by nurse or just leave a message. Just stay away from him he is a scam artist.

Great doctor, caring, answers phone calls in person, calls patient even if problem is not heart related.

Been thinking a lot about this doctor with the recent #MeToo movement. I'm grateful to the other user who flagged Dr. Uppal's "creepiness." It encouraged me to file this review. I visited this doctor with my mom. The doctor seemed very stressed and put out that I was there. I've never had another doctor not be pleased to have an adult child accompany an elderly patient. Afterwards, my mom told me that the reason she wanted me there was that he had behaved inappropriately on her previous visit (when I wasn't there.) I asked her if she wanted to file a complaint, but she said, No, that it would be her word against his and would be hard to explain exactly what he did wrong. "Creepy" was the word she used. But it made his subsequent discomfort with my presence more understandable. He acted like someone who had done something wrong. My mom and I agreed she shouldn't go back under any circumstances. We found a new cardiologist who was excellent and treated her with the… utmost respect.

The procedure went bad and my mother almost died . She had brain damage after she recovered .

Dr. Uppal was very creepy. I don't even know how to describe my experience with him and his office. He runs in, listens to the heart by placing the stethoscope in 10 different spots for a 0.0001 seconds and then listened to my heart directly through my breast. Which just made it creepier. He spends no other time asking questions or communicating, aside from rattling off into a handheld tape recorder for 5 minutes straight. Then he insists on making multiple follow up appointments that aren't needed (I only needed a simple surgical clearance and he then insisted on a bunch of non-necessary tests)...I never went back, saw a different cardiologist who was excellent and had everything done within one appointment. Do NOT go to Uppal! Trust me.
