Dr. Parviz Baghai, MD

I was referred to Dr Baghai by a trusted friend, and I decided to go with him. Dr Baghai simply, has the hands from God. I can now live a relatively normal life. It's been 3 months since my neck surgery, so far so good.

I found Dr. Baghai very nice and knowledgeable. I read the other reviews and just because he doesn’t joke around or brag about his accomplishments doesn’t make him brusque. He answered all my questions honestly and I was not rushed.... I am going to schedule surgery with him.

First appointment went well. He tells it like it is. Decided to have surgery. Will write another review after it. Thank you Dr. Baghai

He did not look at my images when I took them into him, rather the nurse man did. What a JOKE!

Dr. Baghai is a highly focused skilled, detailed and precise surgeon. He is a perfectionist, demanding of his staff, his operating environment and his patient's own preparation. In other words, the very definition of patient focus to my way of thinking. He accurately and completely diagnosed my herniated disc, explained what he would do and how it would help. His understanding of the issue and his detail was far better than other doctors which I had seen. He described what all he would do, what to expect, nailed the surgery perfectly and it was all as he said. I do see some negative reviews here about bedside manner being brusque, etc. and I completely disagree. This reminds me of the shallow people who perceive any detailed factual discussion to be argumentative. I've found through numerous surgeries over the years that direct and to the point surgeons often have the best results. I did interrupt once to ask a question while he was explaining the diagnosis and fix and quickly realized… that I should wait until he was through. As it turned out, he answered virtually all of my questions. You want touchy feely health coaches and workout leads but you want focused analytical surgeons. Trust me on that.

This doctor was awful! Never informed of the surgery my husband even had! When my husband was fresh out of his third surgery he never ordered him any pain medication and my husband was on pain medicine at home from back pain! He didn't even order that. We made him discharge us early so I could take him to his pain management doctor just to relieve post operative pain. Everyone we had a question for him he would get agitated. I never even mentioned to him I am a nurse! Do yourself a favor and find someone with some compassion or even a little bedside manner! I also slept in my husbands room because he is in such severevents pain all night and when he came in I expressed my concern that he was in pain and he told me to go back to sleep!

AMAZING surgeon, he knows his stuff, I recommend to all with no fears

Dr Baghai and Beck have always treated me and my family with decency, respect and compassion. Dr. Oh, and his Staff, need to take lessons from them.

Very brusque at my follow up. Seemed upset I hadn't scheduled surgery, even though he never told me what surgery he was intending to perform When I asked him what kind of surgery he wanted to perform his would not tell ....his response was 'an operation'. He talked down to me and when I told him his partner had told me I did not need surgery, he became upset and said his partner never said that and I was wrong.

Always liked his professionalism & only Dr. to give me hope
