Dr. Patrice Ann Thornton, MD

As part of an initial "wellness" appointment, Dr Thornton recommended shingles vaccinations which were available at her office as an alternative to going to a pharmacy. The standard charge when administered at a pharmacy is $56. I received a bill from the NYU Physicians Services for $370! Tho' covered by my insurance, Dr Thornton / NYU failed to file the claim with my insurance company. Dr Thornton failed to respond to my complaint. After considerable effort on my part, Dr Thornton's office administrator offered as "accommodation" - a reduction to $140. If this how Dr Thornton / NYU handle a minor billing problem, I shudder to think how a major medical problem would be handled. Based on this experience along with the condition of her office, I will not return!

Hands down best Doctor and office staff in the area.

Dr. Thornton was my primary doctor for over 20 years. She is a real professional and I really loved having her care. However, in the last few years, it was almost impossible to get an appointment and TOTALLY impossible to speak with her on the phone. The office staff is very snippy and rude. Seeing a PA there comparable to Urgent Care.... Both my daughter and myself have been misdiagnosed by the PAs. Just such a frustrating experience to keep a doctor. Not worth it anymore......

She's thorough, and the sort of doctor you want if good answers to questions posed are of importance to you, as they are to me.

Best Doctor I ever had

Doctor is okay. Rushed, but aren't they all! The office is gross, it is so tiny that you are crammed right up against other patients while you wait and wait....seriously you will be touching other people because it is so small! How did this space even seem like a good idea when they were setting up their office! The exm rooms are closets. There is a TV monitor with an infomercial playing for some weight loss supplement which has horrible reviews online. You can request that the blaring commercial be shut off, but you will be told that it is impossible. staff is extremely unfriendly and calling for test results is not recommended. Ultimately I changed doctors.

I had the pleasure of having Dr. Passidomo as my physician for a number of years, can't quite remember how long for sure. I never trusted doctors, but I trust her. She is caring, intelligent, she takes the time to listen, and she's easy on the eyes ( extra benefit for making my office visits). My health is in good hands while she's my doctor.

The first time I took my daughter into the office that is what she disclosed to my husband and I! It has been my honor to be a patient of Dr. Passidomo for going on two decades. This lady is a rare gem.

Her time with you will be well rewarded. She is extremely competent and completely professional. In addition she she is very caring and thorough. You can't have a better doctor.
