Dr. Patricia Josephine Amato, MD

I was her patient from 11 years old to age 19. She never bothered to remember details about my home life or conditions, despite explaining numerous times over the years. They were never put on record either. Dr. Amato diagnosed me with scoliosis as a child, but offered no treatment plans. It progressed to the point of becoming outwardly visible and she still did nothing. I now suffer on a daily basis because she did not intervene. My spine is twisted and the bones in my legs ache because I cannot walk normally anymore. She is a pitiful excuse for a doctor.

Dr. Amato was my pediatrician as a child and she is now my daughter and my son's pediatrician. I can't say enough positive things about her and her office. Employee turnover is very low and that says a lot about the quality of the office. Every staff member I've come into contact with over the years is helpful and nice. Dr. Amato tends to run behind a little but I don't mind waiting because she takes the time with every pt and parent to listen, explain things, and answer questions, and that quality has not changed as her patient load has increased. I don't know how she has time to see patients at the office, make rounds at all the hospitals, teach at Wash U, write books, and also has 6 children! Her being voted in to "Best Doctors in America" repeatedly is well-deserved!

Dr. Amato has been our 17-year-old son's attending physician for most of his life. She has always shown concern for his health and been good at explaining any procedures she performed.
