Dr. Patricia Jo Bohart, MD

Was treated by doctor Bohart as a veteran when she worked at the Lincoln Veterans Hospital - in one years time she wrote ONE progess note on my progress and she took me off the med that worked in keeping my condition in check - panic disorder - her progess note clearly displays that she had never read my records or knew the true scope of my mental illness - taking me off my meds led to a hellish three years - of going to private sector hospital emergency rooms and finally with two trips to the emergency room in omaha - and me being perhaps one day away from suicide --- I did not know she had been negligent in her treatment of me until after the fact - and she had already left the VA - to return to private practice - she had never taken the time to read my chart which reference 11 different mental illness diagnoses - and the one progress note she did write had nothing to do with what I thought I was being treated for - I was a 100 percent service connected vietnam era vet and I was… also on 100 percent SSD - It is scary to me how much damage a person in the position can do - and if I was a little bit more mentally stable and stronger I would take her to task with the nebraska psychiartic society -
