Dr. Patricia G. Eseverri, MD

This has been the worst experience of my life. Dr. Patricia Eseverri has discriminated against a patient whom she did not treat because he is Puerto Rican. The doctor told the grandmother of the patient with cerebral palsy. That she should return to her country and she refused to treat them. An action that does not represent the medical profession, I hope this reaches many people and they report this discriminatory incident.

An anemic patient? Let’s send to a specialist hematologist! Let’s send an immunosuppressed patient stat to the ER when hemodynamically stable? How about a simple B12 level? Did you take that class? Luckily a different pcp did. Office completely dropped the ball on taking messages and call backs. Md nasty and defensive with the patient and family. If we could give one Star we would.

Both of my grandparents and great aunt suffered and/or eventually died from this doctor's lack of attention to detail and negligence. CANCER. STROKE. C DIFF. If your loved one is a patient of this doctor, find them a different doctor as soon as you possibly can. I do not normally leave reviews on anything, but this is important and people need to see it.

It's all about the numbers at Lakeland Regional Health. They do not care about the quality of care provided so long as they keep moving people in and out. I went to Eseverri when I was going through a horrible depression and was suicidal. She told me that she could not do anything for me and that her hands were tied. She then proceeded to accuse me of being an addict when I wasn't even asking for any controlled substances, and even mocked me for not being able to afford regular therapy. If I did not have the support system I have, I truly believe that appointment would have caused me to take my life. I have since received help for my depression elsewhere and am doing much better. In prior appointments with her, when I brought up issues, she would ask me if I wanted to see a specialist. It turned into me asking her if she felt I needed to.. her asking me if I felt like I should go. No. YOU are the doctor. You should know if something requires a second opinion with a specialist and not… ask me what I think. If I didn't have some concern, I wouldn't bring it up to you. Absolutely horrible physician and given how she treated me when I was at my lowest point, I would go so far as to say she is a horrible human being.

I needed a PCP and I was given this doctor. I went in for my appointment at the Grasslands location. The staff was wonderful, but the wait time was a little ridiculous. The MA that I dealt with was phenomenal, but as soon as Eseverri came in the room, it was beyond downhill from there. She rushed my visit. She didn’t want to listen to any of my concerns about things I’ve been having issues with for a few years now. Her exact words were “Oh it’s not an issue right now.” How are constant nose bleeds and frequent headaches along with issues of my spine not an issue? She also stated that she could refer me to other doctors, but that it wasn’t something that she thought needed to be done. She also degraded me in terms of my weight when she “looked” at my spine. Also when listening to my heart and breathing, she moved the stethoscope so much and so fast, there was no way she got a proper reading (I’m a CNA). She didn’t want to listen to any of issues and shrugged me off. Then she stated she… would see me in 9 months. They tried to get me to make an appointment for 9 months later, but I just told them not to worry about it. Worst doctor I have ever seen. Definitely would NOT recommend....and good luck if you are her patient because she doesn’t care.

This doctor needs to be removed. When she was my primary doctor, I had a condition that concerned my heart. I called her office ahead of my scheduled appointment to determine if I could see her earlier. She called me back and scolded me like I was her student in grade school. She is the worst excuse for a doctor that I have ever witnessed. She is rude and incompetent and should be reported!

I have never been to the doctors office and got in on time. It is frustrating and stressful to have to wait 45 plus minutes after your scheduled time just to get into the exam room and then have to wait even longer to see Dr. Eseverri.!!

I've been with this doctor for 8 years and I never worry much about going to the doctor and it dominating my day. She's the best a keeping me in a positive frame of mind about my health and goes the extra step to make sure I get what I need.

My mother(age 84) went to the emergency room with high blood pressure and an irregular heartbeat. She was given Ativan and sent home. When she went to a followup appointment with Dr. Eseverri 5 days later(the earliest appointment she could get after negotiating with some very insensitive office staff), she was told that blood pressure fluctuates a lot, not to worry, and put on an anti-anxiety medication. One week later she had a stroke. Dr. Eseverri has been my mother's primary care physician for at least five years.

Dr. (I use this term loosely) Eseverri is extremely incompetent. My A1C went up instead of down and she told me to keep doing what I'm doing. Now I have been waiting in pain for her to change my anti inflammatory because the other was making me nauseous. Been waiting over 24 hours for that. Plus I think I have a pinched nerve and for pain she prescribed 1 Percocet a day when the normal dosage is one every 4 hours. My insurance changes in like 2 weeks and as soon add that happens I intend to get a new Dr. I wouldn't recommend anyone take a dog to her. Much less a person that needs a Dr.
