Dr. Patricia Ann Labaire, MD

My gripe is with scheduling. My folks are elderly, had an appointment, ran into traffic, and were therefore 7 minutes late. I get it…things need to be on time to run smoothly. However, not all elderly have the ability to run up the stairs to make an appointment on time. There needs to be some give in the system.

I recently had surgery for endometriosis, finally being diagnosed after 10 years of pain and a poor quality of life. My surgeon gave me a referral to a pain clinic for pain management. Insurance told me it needed to come from a primary so I found Patricia. The minute she saw me I could tell she judged me by my tattoos on my arms and hands as it happens very frequently. I explained my condition, and told her I needed a referral. She looked at me and said “you do not need pain meds.” I was shocked and disgusted. Pain management does not necessarily mean pain meds. She denied me my referral. I left the office in tears as I have been battling this illness most of my life. I am an EMT/fire fighter and would never treat a patient with such negligence. She assumed I was seeking meds. Luckily, I found a new primary who treats me like a human being, and got me the referral a year later. I never leave reviews, but after suffering for years to get help only to be denied care due to her bias… opinion and unethical behavior, I felt the need to tell my story. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I am so disappointed in this doctor. I recently had surgery for Endometriosis. My surgeon gave me a referral to a pain clinic but my insurance said I needed a primary care referral. I went to Patricia for the first time. She didn’t care about anything I had to say, and told me I didn’t need a pain specialist so she DENIED me my referral. My surgeon was shocked when I told her. I have been sick for ten years. I still have no pain medication. I can not believe someone would treat another human being this way. I am a fire fighter/emt and know how the human body works. I know I need medication and I still have nothing because of ignorant condescending people like herself. I hope she never has the illness I suffer with. I will never go back to her again.

I’m very disappointed ( . I gave her time (6 years) and was thinking maybe I have very high standards but not.. Her is one of the worst doctors I ever met. She does nothing to find out the cause of the problems, she doesn’t care and doesn’t dig deep and a patient has to die in order her start doing something (( very disappointed, I lost so much time with her((

I am so happy and grateful my mom and I found Dr. Patricia Labaire for our primary care physician. She is an extremely knowledgeable physician with a calm, non-alarmist approach to medicine which puts her patients at ease. Dr. Labaire identified and addressed a potentially serious condition in my mom, recommending treatment before it became a high risk situation. It is such a great feeling to know you and your loved ones are being cared for by the best. We highly recommend Dr. Labaire!

I love her, she's the only doc that ordered MRI for me and really knows her stuff.

Dr. Labaire saved the life of our now 8 week old son. He was born with a heart murmur which lead to the diagnosis of a much more serious heart issue. He has now had 3 heart surgeries to repair his heart. When my wife gave birth, she was the only one at the time. We literally had 10+ Drs and nurses in our room simply because there was nothing else going on. None of them, not a single one heard the murmur. All of ultrasounds, and nothing was heard. Dr. Labaire was the doctor on call that day. She came for his checkup about 4 hrs after birth, and she heard the murmur. Our son ultimately needed surgery to save him form brain damage, organ damage, and his life and was whisked off to Childrens in Boston. Now our entire family goes to her. Its difficult to thank someone for saving the life of your child. There is nothing in this world I could give or say that could show that. So I came here to spread the word. There are many doctors out there to choose from. Dr. Labaire listens, cares, pays… very close attention to detail, and truly is one of the best. Thank you again Dr. Labaire

My son was born with a previously unknown heart condition. Dr. Labaire was the only one to hear his heart condition and about 15 people listened to my son's heart the day he was born... My son ended up needing 2 heart surgeries before he was 10 days old... If Dr. Labaire hadn't heard his murmur, my son would have gotten extremely sick and could have died...

Dr. LaBaire has been my primary care physician for about nine years and I could not ask for a better doctor. She calls you herself with results from test so if you have questions she can answer them right away. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be brought into the exam room and don't have to wait long for her to come in. She explains everything so you can understand and spends the time you need to understand what she is telling you. She has a lab on site so you can have blood drawn right there which saves a trip to the hospital. When I called her office a few weeks ago with symptoms of a cold I was seen that day and that is usually what happens, if she cannot see you that day they defenitely see you the next day. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. LaBaire and appreciate her more than words can say.

My elderly father had been going to another physician for years - long waits to be seen, then have examined, and his concerns were brushed off by the other doctor as "It's because your older" Common issues with elderly.. Well, when my father was almost dead, couldn't walk etc. Dr. Labaire examined him, had tests taken - was severely dehydrated and very anemic. In no time he was much better - however, she also diagnosed that he had an aortic aneurysm and multiple myeloma. We always wonder if he had gone to Dr. Labaire sooner, what would have happened! She did my Dad very well overall. AND my mother.
