I sought out a doctor who was literate with thyroid disease. She refused to run a full panel test telling my that they were worthless because they would just tell you "why" your thyroid isn't working right. I saw her three times because I was so sick. Each and every time, even though one was a full physical, she refused to examine my thyroid. Now new doc, full thyroid tests run. They indicated a have an autoimmune disease of my thyroid called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I also have conversion problems and found out that I have a high reverse T3 which lead to different medications. The ones she had me on made me bedridden and ill and she knew it. High RT3 can indicate some serious diseases. I have Lyme's disease. If I had stayed her patient, I would be dead or in a nursing home. Her nurse was one of the most rude nurses I have encountered. They also ran labs on me that I refused and now I am being billed for them. There is a lot of ego in that office. All I want is to be well. I hired her… to help me and instead I was brushed off. Horrible.
