Dr. Patricia S Mitchell, MD

I actually stopped going to Dr. Mitchell a couple of years ago but just thought I would put out a warning - the first time I met with her, I absolutely loved her. She was knowledgable, kind and approachable. Soon after - her attitude completely changed - at one point, she (while I was on the table) accused me of lying/deceiving her because during the exam, I asked a question about a medication she had put me on. She said that I'd have to schedule a completely separate appointment for that (it literally would have been a 5 minute conversation). I walked out of there crying because I had never been treated that way before.

My experiences with Dr. Mitchell have been positive. I am not young, nor am I having a baby, and I find her attention to me to be appropriate. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, she called me personally, and made an appointment for me with a cancer specialist. All my doctors now walk around with a laptop, and none of them has me into their office first. They all ask their questions in the exam room.

This doctor is RUDE & UNCARING. I would never recommend her to anybody, especially if this is their first pregnancy. She was my GYN for 3 years before I became pregnant. I didn't really like her as my gyno but since I only saw her once a year I just dealt with it. When I became pregnant and had to see her more often I saw just how terrible her bedside manner was. I switched to another OB at 11 weeks.

Have seen Dr. Mitchell for many years. Had a recent appointment, wait time about average with other docs of all specialties. Yes, Dr. Mitchell totes a laptop computer and inputs information as she's talking. But she still asks appropriate questions, listens to the answers and responds professionally. I find her to be quite personable, friendly and kind. I never feel uncomfortable with her, even when discussing the most intimate details of my personal life and my body. Perhaps those reviews that say she is brusque, rude or lacking in bedside manner are simply hearing health advice they don't want to hear. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell!

I have been seeing Dr. Mitchell for four years and I loved her. I went for my annual exam yesterday and she was rude and condescending! It was so bad that if I had not already been there, waiting butt naked in the room for my exam, I would have walked out on her. Unbelieveable! Also, she apparently uses a rolling laptop table now and asks her questions and talks with her patients in the exam room (while you're naked and basically covered by a piece of paper) instead of doing it in her office (before going to the exam room) like she used to. To me, this is not thinking about what makes her patients more comfortable. Clearly that is not Dr. Mitchell's priority any longer. I will be choosing another OB/GYN now...

Dr Mitchell was my doctor for my first child and I would definitely not use her again. She was quite blunt and condescending with her responses to any questions or concerns I had. The day of my delivery she seemed very rushed and I did not feel as if she took the time to to ensure that I was given the proper aftercare.

She's a butcher! Rude, non-caring, demeaning. Seems to be ok if you're young and want to have a baby. Other than that, no thanks!

3 Strikes!!! Strike 1: after waiting 4wks for an appointment I was turned away because my DL expired 1wk before my appointment, i wasnt even aware of it. Strike 2:I decided to give her one more chance and called back to make another appointment only to speak to a staff memeber who obviously wasn't listening. I needed a Friday appointment and was offered a tuesday then a monday??? I asked if she was even listening to me and was finally offered an appointment. Strike 3:The day of the appointment the doctor seemed annoyed by me and lectured me about my weight and physical condition instead of providing adivce. (her staff could use her own advice)

My experience with this doctor was awful. She was cold and lacked any personality and her office staff was no better. They filed my insurance incorrectly and refused to refile. When I then went to another doctor, they refused to release my medical records to that doctor unless I paid for them. The new doctor said in 35 years of practice they have never had another physician refuse to release medical records.

I went to Patricia Mitchell and was treated very badly. She was cold and rude toward me and did not listen to me.
