Dr. Patricia Lynn Raymond, MD

I am compelled to write this review out of sheer gratitude and admiration for this Doctor. I have been an ICU and ER nurse for 10 years. My 93 year old grandfather began having severe rectal bleeding last night that was not stopping. He was admitted to Princess Anne hospital and had a flexible sigmoidoscopy done by Dr. Raymond after a GI bleeding scan gave her somewhat of an idea where his intestines were bleeding. She valiantly searched for the bleed for almost an hour and a half. Any other doctor would have given up (in my experience I have never seen such a persistent and caring Doctor). She persevered until she discovered the area that was bleeding and competently fixed it. Thank you, thank you so much for your effort Dr. Raymond. I understand what it looks like to see someone give everything they have for a patient and my Grandfather and family are so grateful.

Very disappointing practice. They clearly lack direction and the training of the staff is less than adequate. Since my primary care doctor is in the same building, I physically walked into their practice and spent over 20 minutes registering as a new patient. I provided all of my personal info and my health insurance card. They scheduled my appointment for a week later. They called to confirm my appointment. I left my job in Richmond early to get back home go to my scheduled appointment. As I checked in, they inform me that they can't see me as they don't take my insurance? After explaining all of this to their billing manager and asking how did it get to this point that so much time and energy was wasted, they seemed apathetic and could care less. If they are this clueless at the front office, I can only imagine the rest of the practice is seriously lacking in common medical standards as well...I probably dodged a bullet by not going. I definitely would not recommend them.

She was in a hurry due to the number of procedures scheduled for that day and did not wait for drugs to take affect before beginning and continuing procedure. One of the worst experiences of my life!

The wait time is very hard but this Dr. is worth the wait because you can tell she really cares about her patients.

Dr Raymond is GREAT! She is a kind, attentive person and is known among her piers ( my other doctors) as absolutely the best in gastroenterology. Don't put off your colonoscopy GO now make an appt and get it done.

Best colonoscopy experience you could hope for!

I have been having horrible pain due to what scene to be acid reflux 4 years. Only after seeing dr. Raymond was I properly diagnosed with a malfunction in my esophagus. After this proper diagnosis proper treatment was follow and I finally have much needed relief. Dr. Raymond is thorough patient and passionate about what she does. They don't make them like her anymore!

She is awesome and listens to everything you say. She also documents everything which is important. Even if she doesnt know whats going on she actively tries to find out. She actually cares about her patients.
