Dr. Patricia Ann Somerville, MD

DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR. For two years I told Dr. Somerville during my yearly mammogram and ultrasound, that I felt something was wrong with my nipple, and I felt itchiness and I brought a printed sheet from WEBmd. This women would look at my nipple and tell me nothing was wrong; I was just getting older; I was in peri-menopause; just put A-D ointment on my nipple. She did not once say let's check it out, let's do (anything). She would hand me a yearly report stating everything was ok and remember to schedule the next yearly appointment. On the third year, something was found on the yearly mammogram. I did not want to see her for a follow-up meeting. I made an appointment with Dr. Philip Murphy (who had been my regular doctor until in 2010 when she just showed up to say she would now be my doctor). Dr. Murphy performed an ultrasound and asked if he could do a biopsy that day. He called me the same evening to tell me I HAD GRADE 2 BREAST CANCER THAT HAD SPREAD TO A LYMPH NODE. … In the next few days and weeks, I had to set up appointments for MRI and breast surgeon and surgeries. A few weeks later, I had A FULL MASECTOMY OF MY LEFT BREAST WHICH INCLUDED REMOVAL OF SOME LYMPH NODES. What followed during the course of the next year is CHEMO-THERAPY AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERIES. I thank the Lord daily for helping me get through THIS HORRIBLE ORDEAL, which started with/could have been prevented (or not as complex) IF PATRICIA SOMMERVILLE HAD NOT BEEN MY DOCTOR.
