Dr. Patricia Gray Strachan, MD

I have been seeing Dr Gray-Strachan for over 25 years. She has delivered both my babies. She is sweet, soft spoken, and has wonderful bedside manners and she has been so wonderful to me. I just love her and her staff. She will be my forever OBGYN as long as she takes my insurance.

I have been with Dr Strachan for 20+ years. She is a great ob/gyn. Caring, knowledgeable and professional. She delivered my 4 babies and managed me through one very difficult pregnancy. She's referred me to various specialists as needed throughout the years. And, now she's taking care of me through pre-menopause. I've recommended her practice to all my friends. Her staff including Theresa and Rita are great too.

MY wife was a patient with Dr Patricia Strachan at her Irvine office. Most of the visits she is not present and you only talk to a nurse (and get to pay for a Dr visit). Half way through her pregnancy we ended up in a emergency room due to some complication. Next three days we tried to reach the doctor and she never contacted us. We only got to meet the nurse and she never explained why it happened. Even after asking for to talk to Dr she never returned our calls. We ended up switching doctor.

Strachan sees you on average for about 2 minutes and she is out the door. She will not offer any education and default to referring you out when you ask questions or verbalize any symptoms, whether it's back to "the packet at first appointment" with her NP, the hospital or your PCP. It doesn't feel like she is invested in the care of her patients and that she provides enough care to only her legal bases. I would not recommend her to anyone that is looking for a caring OB. She may be a better fit for someone who wants to be in and out of their appointment and has no questions about their care.

I took over two months to get my apt, then they cancelled it on me as I am pulling in the parkinglot, and yhen waited another month. She was not friendly. I went in with three questions and she couldn't answer any of them. She didn't refer me to anyone who could answer my questions or anything. She seemed like she didn't care about my issues and just rushed through my apt. Worst gynocologist I have ever been to.

This review is not based on a one time experience . I am 7 months pregnant now and considering to change my doctor . She never has enough time to spend with the patient . Starts of with "H how are you" - when you start telling her something - she hardly listens and starts giving instructions like lie down , move here , move there - not listening to what the concern is or why i am there . Blunt answers for most questions . I am Very uncomfortable now and looking for another doctor. I would like to say the Nurse practitioner Nancy is amazing , caring , knowledgable and listens and gives appropriate answers. Its high time Dr. Strachan reads the reviews and understand whats patients are looking for during the visit. With the experience i have with her i will not recommend her to anyone.

Doctors office for Women is a great clinic! Doctor Patricia G Strachan is exceptional doctor. This doctor listens to the patient, she always answered my questions and prescribe only necessary tests. This clinic has a very professional and attentive team. I like nurse Nancy Evans A LOT! She is wonderful!!!! Highly recommend this doctor and this clinic.

I have read all the other comments & I am compelled to not only agree with the positive reviews but challenge the negative reviews. To those that feel like Dr Strachan's bedside manner is not terrific; either your expectations are ridiculously too high or not realistic. Every doctor has an off day (as we all do, can u imagine someone "reviewing" your every move??) and to not take your average experience into consideration seems unfair. You'rd telling me that every time u saw her she made u feel rushed & wasn't kind...are we dealing with the same doctor??!! I have been a patient there for 3 years & I am VERY happy with their friendliness, warmth, compassion, professionalism, & extremely prompt follow up with lab info, call back's, etc. And Nancy Evans the NP...superb & sweet! The rest of the staff (Theresa, Rita, etc), couldn't ask for better. Thank u to the whole staff & I am confident as ever that my 3rd pregnancy will be handled wonderfully!

Dr Strachan & her staff are gr8!! Dr Strachan has to slow down on the way she talks,other than that she is good...need to boost up with confidence level of patience...her front office staff is the BEST...Nancy(NP),Rita & Theresa are wonderful ppl...very caring & loving...overall she is GOOD...

The office staff are warm and welcoming and very professional and so organized! Nancy, her Nurse Practicioner and Theresa (RN) are absolutely wonderful! I have been a needy patient with lots of paperwork that needs to be filled out for disability insurance and they are always timely about getting it filled out! I am very happy with Dr. Strachan as my OB/GYN!
