We had a great experience with Dr Tonkawicz today. She was thorough and compassionate and did not make me feel rushed even though we were late for our appointment! Plus, my 10 month old loved her!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!!! I wish I would have listened to a couple of our friends that have left this doctor's office, but it was very convenient for use. TERRIBLE MISTAKE Just before our son's 4 month checkup, we noticed he was pulling on his ears, naturally we mentioned this to "DR. T" , she said it was him just finding his ears. He is not a fussey baby at all, so we didn't think much of it. It still continued and about 3 weeks ago he become congested and stuffy nose, we took him back, we thought maybe allergyâ??s, new parents here so we took the word of the so called doctor's at this office. she said no allergyâ??s, just give him Benadryl. this was at his 6 month checkup, meanwhile he is still messing with his ears, and we ask about it, they looked and said he is all good. a couple of nights ago our son starting coughing so bad he was throwing up, not spit up, everything he ate would come up, So we took him in again, the person that saw us this time said don't know… what to tell you, just up the dosage of Benadryl. At this point I was done with these people and sought another opinion, we called Charlotte Pediatrics at 4pm on a Friday, they said if we could get there by 4:20pm someone could see us. We rushed to get there, but didn't arrive until 4:35pm, the lady at the front desk said we may have to wait a little bit but they will still see us. After a short wait we got into the room, the real DR. came in, listened to everything that was going on with our son, said he thinks he already knows what's wrong, looked into on ear, and in the other and let us know he had an ACCUTE EAR INFECTIONS IN EACH EAR!!! so for 2 months of 3 different so called doctor's seeing him at Rick Hill Pediatrics, not once did they suggest or diagnose our son with ear infections, and I physically watched every one of those Dr.'s look in his ears, and in10 minutes of listening to our concerns and what was going on with our son, and looking in each of his ears, and Surprise a real Dr.'s prognosis of ear infections. WOW!!! Our son is a trooper, never cried, fussed, and is always smiling. We felt like horrible horrible parents for letting this go on for 2 months, but we took the word of someone with thought was educated in child care, we were wrong. NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE!!!
