Patricia Vining-Maravolo, DNP

Patricia Vining-Maravolo, DNP, is dedicated to providing compassionate, equitable care and improving access for all patients. She chose her career to serve individuals from underserved communities with dignity and respect, working to reduce barriers that contribute to gaps in health care. In her practice, she actively identifies and addresses inequities that may impact a patient’s ability to receive care, often adapting care plans to better meet individual needs. She believes health care is a right, not a privilege, and this philosophy guides her approach to every patient interaction.Patricia is especially interested in pediatric obesity, diabetes management and education, and improving health care literacy. She is passionate about helping patients better understand their health so they can feel confident and engaged in their care.She finds the greatest fulfillment in seeing her patients make meaningful progress, whether that means becoming more engaged in their care, improving …their overall health or reaching a better place emotionally. Supporting patients on that journey is what motivates her each day.Outside of work, Patricia enjoys running, including half marathons and marathons, as well as powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting. She values spending time with her family and friends, who have been her strongest source of support and inspiration. She is also active in her local school and church communities through volunteer work.I believe one of the most important parts of a patient’s care plan is helping them understand their condition. This includes what the condition is, how it is treated, and any possible risks or complications.In my experience, patients who understand their health are better prepared to take part in their care and often have better outcomes. They are more confident speaking with their care team and can better advocate for their needs.I strive to provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered, evidence-based care. I also value working closely with patients and their families to create a treatment plan that supports the best possible results while reducing stress and challenges. This partnership is strongest when patients and families feel informed and involved in their care.
