Dr. Patricia Grace Wheeler, MD

Dr wheeler was reading the results from a print out. She has no clue what the results mean, what cells are Affected and what was the pathology related to the deficit she was describing. She provided me with a print out from a website and she was simply reading from it. I kept asking her what does this mean? This is very general can you explain more and she was like I don’t know I have no idea. She was describing the mechanistic of the mutation which may be great for a biology class but not when you give parents a diagnosis.when you make the parents come for a visit to discuss the results you should be ready and you should know the gene you are describing,

Dr. Wheeler was dismissive. She did not take an accurate medical history and every time I attempted to interject with pertinent medical information I was cut off. She was additionally biased and judgmental, forming innaccurate assumptions about my child and relaying them to me several times even though I continuously redirected or corrected her. However each time I attempted to talk I was either cut off or talked over. Her knowledge of my child’s genetic disorder was basic at best. She utilized the same material I had pulled off the internet and appeared to not have read through it. She gave several blanket or general knowledge statements about my child’s disorder and provided no resource materials or additional information.

Excellent communication, patience, super professional and for us is what every doctor should be.
