Dr. Patrick Joseph Byrne, MD

I had reconstructive surgery and also my deviated septum fixed about a month ago. I’m still healing, but I am pleased with my results so far. He is honest and practical when it comes to explaining the surgery process and recovery. He lets you know the risks and that he is working with bone and cartilage, which is difficult to work with. He is professional and caring and spent as much time with me that I needed. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get an appointment with him, but other than that I think he is a wonderful doctor and person and I definitely recommend him!

Run as fast as you can Dr. Byrne is arrogant and unprofessional. I was referred to him by another ENT for a debilitating condition called synkinesis. He denied I had it and referred me to a psychiatrist. I went to Metro Health neurologist and I was again diagnosed with this condition.It was due to a botched surgery of face where nerve attached to the wrong muscle it's sadly very obvious when left eye blinks there's movement of corner of mouth. I hope my experience will give pause to patients seeking his help. What he wrote in my chart I cannot erase and it damages my character this arrogant man could care less!

This surgeon did my revision Rhinoplasty and made me look obviously deformed. The soft tissue became so damaged that I'm in constant pain and another surgery would be impossible now. Beware!!

Dr. Byrne did my rhinoplasty and septoplasty and said it was guaranteed. This was a big deal to me since it was so expensive. I was not happy with my results- both aesthetically and the fact that I still can’t breathe in through my right nostril AT ALL. He kept telling me to give it time to heal, and then left the practice and the region with no way to contact him!!! My smile is totally messed up, he left a bump in my nose, my nose is still completely off-centered, and I still can’t breathe in through my right nostril.

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Dr Byrne through a former Fellow of his. Luckily he accepted me as a patient to perform a Gracilis Muscle Transfer into my face to correct facial paralysis. Although the surgery was just completed and have a while to see the full results, this is no doubt an exceptional doctor who genuinely and patiently cares for his patients. Truly a remarkable man and am grateful to him in helping me achieve the simple act of smiling again. :)

My overall experience was excellent. From the surgical coordinator, to the nurses, to Dr. Byrne himself to my wonderful results. Dr. Byrne and his office are extremely professional, listens to your concerns and provides the results you want. I went to Dr. Byrne for revision otoplasty. I received my first otoplasty from Johns Hopkins from the plastic surgery department and it was a horrible experience with a painful recovery and not satisfying results. After the original surgeon stated she would not operate again, I decided to get some other opinions. This led me to the 3rd opinion which was Dr. Byrne. I saw Dr. Byrne and went through the operating procedure a few days later. Dr. Byrne listened to my concerns, told me the realistic possibility of correcting the issue and ensured that his team was top of the line and I was in great hands. On the day of the procedure I met the entire team beforehand  and they made me very comfortable. My recovery was ten times better this time and Dr.… Byrne was able to answer any questions I had through the surgical coordinator almost immediately. I am now 4 months past my revision otoplasty and my results are great, no pain and the swelling has subsided greatly. I did not want to go through this procedure again but I am glad I worked up the courage to because Dr. Byrne changed the way I will feel every day for the rest of my life. I would highly recommend Dr. Byrne to anyone. Thank you Dr. Byrne.

I've always had a prominent, rather bulbous looking nose that I thoroughly disliked. I also had a deviated septum which created a hump on the bridge of my nose. I sought out Dr. Bryne after reading multiple reviews about his terrific work and professionalism. He is extremely understanding and explained to me what to expect before, during and after my rhinoplasty procedure. I told him about what I wanted to be changed to my nose in addition to fixing my deviated septum, which was affecting my breathing. He stressed the importance of not only my aesthetic appearance but also fixing the internal functioning of my nose. Dr. Bryne and his staff took care of me very well when I was in surgery; they went above and beyond what I expected. It's been a little over two months since I've had surgery and I could not be more pleased!!! My nose is slimmer with a slight scoop at the tip and my side profile looks straight. My family has been treated by Dr. Patrick Byrne for a wide variety of issues for over 10 years - from minor skin issues on the face to a complicated perforated septum involving my 15 year old daughter. Dr. Byrne is the most skilled surgeon and doctor I have ever experienced. For my daughter’s perforated septum, we searched for answers from several doctors for years. They suggested that we either leave it alone or have a button surgically inserted to close the perforation with only a 50% success rate. My daughter was really suffering - trouble breathing, significant discharge and pain. Dr. Byrne evaluated her and immediately said she should not have to live with the condition and offered to surgically repair it. The surgery took several hours and was very involved, but we are thrilled with the results. Not only was the surgery a success, but Dr. Byrne is an absolute joy to work with. I had a lot of questions right after the surgery, and he called me over the weekend to help work… through some post-surgery issues. Thank you so much, Dr. Byrne!

Dr. Patrick Byrne and his team surpassed my expectations. I’ve never had fillers before and was nervous about altering my face/eyes. After the restalyne was injected under my eyes I immediately saw a significant difference. Dr. Byrne was very friendly, professional and conscientious. I felt very confident in his abilities and am thrilled to have an improvement in my under eye bags. The recovery period was as I was told. Sittha Sok, the clinical coordinator, was also very professional and knowledgeable. He made the entire process very smooth and seamless. I am very happy with my results and the excellent care that was provided to me by the everyone involved. I highly recommend him and will be going back.

Dr. Byrne and his staff have always been so friendly and informative, and genuinely care about myself and what I wanted. They shared with me all aspects of available options and maintenance to achieve what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Byrne. I happily drive over an hour to see him and his staff!
