Dr. Patrick Anselm Charles, MD

I have been going to Dr Charles for many years, a very long time. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He have always treated me nice, he is a very caring and kind and patient doctor. Every time I were sick, he got me back on my feet. His staff is very kind also. All I can say is keep up the good work Dr Charles! I wish it were more of you out there!

Dr. Charles is very attentive, steers you to the right resources for follow up care for anything that's not in his specific area of treatment. Very thorough in his preventative diagnostic assessment during office visit.

I've been a patient happy to say a healthy patient thanks to Dr. Charles.

Dr. Charles cares more about money than his patients. I was seen by him in the hospital after I had 2 dvts in my left leg. I saw him for a total of 20 minutes between my 3 visits with him over my 5 day stay in the hospital. Those visits cost me 500 dollars. After I got out of the hospital I came in for a follow up and he wouldnt see me because I didnt have the money to pay for the office visit on the spot. My insurance covered lab visits but he wouldnt bill it as such so I was turned away due to insufficient funds. His nurses informed me that the visit would cost between 80 and 150 dollars. I did some research and an INR test costs 17. While I was being told that I wouldnt be seen his nurse informed me that he had told me to come in for a follow up 2 weeks prior. 1 week prior I was still in the hospital so im pretty sure he has no idea who I am other than a number. Beaumont grosse pointe is a horrible hospital. I was kept for 5 days and nothing was done. I was put on blood thinners and… that was it. That was a 14,000 bill. I was put on blood thinners by the pharmacist, the actual doctor you see doesnt decide what medications you need. The pharmacist has supreme power over medications. Dr. Charles told me that he would have treated me differently but he couldnt do anything other than what the pharmacist ordered.
