During his tenure, he served as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Naval Medical Center, San Diego. , he was the Director of the Pain Management Clinic and directed several continuing medical education conferences for chronic pain management. Captain Danaher also served as Officer in Charge of a Forward Resuscitative Combat Surgical Team during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
