Dr. Patrick Jerold Dougherty, MD

TOTAL SCAM! I went here after a severe ankle sprain as they were the quickest appointment I could get in for (though I now understand why they had so much availability). I saw Dr. Patrick Dougherty, who had no interest in listening to what I had to say about my injury. He was confident he knew exactly what the issue was (no issue) before he even walked through the door or looked at x-rays - spoiler alert, I went to Raleigh Ortho after this, and found a MUCH BETTER doctor there (I highly recommend them) who found I had SEVERE ankle damage including a torn ligament....meanwhile Dr. Dougherty was in a rush to get to his next paycheck, I mean patient, and did nothing but recommend some gel insoles for my shoes (ayfkm?). ON TOP OF THIS, I was then charged for not 1.....not even 2.....but 3 DIFFERENT X-RAY CHARGES. Each charge showed 3 images on it (9 total), so not even a matter of splitting the charges up. Again, for comparison, when I went to the other practice, I was charged for 1… single x-ray, even though they took the same imaging + gave MUCH better service (in that they actually tried instead of jumping out of the room in 3 minutes just to charge me $300 for absolutely nothing). Icing on the cake? I even tried to save the money on the imaging from my 2nd attempt at Raleigh Ortho since I just had them taken a couple weeks before....Carolina Foot & Ankle told me it would be $5 for the CD of my own images, that I had already paid for (3x). Get this....the CD didn't even work at Raleigh Ortho so I had to get new images done anyway. I was in talks with someone from the billing department at Carolina Foot & Ankle for months while she investigated what was going on. She even admitted to me and explicitly stated something was wrong with the billing (nevermind the rest)....but then later backtracked that and said it was all correct. Liars, scammers, lazy doctors, GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!
