Dr. Edwards earned a bachelor of arts degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994. He went on to earn his doctorate of medicine from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina in 1999. He finished a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Edwards is board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Edwards has a special interest in Pediatric Dermatology and the treatment of ADHD. Dr. Edwards is married to Dr. Kimberly Edwards, a dermatologist here in Wilmington at Dermatology Associates. They have two daughters, Audrey and Anna Caroline. They currently live in Wilmington and are members of Wrightsville United Methodist Church. Dr. Edwards is orginially from the area. He lived in Wilmington until the age of five, when he and his parents moved to Whiteville, his parent's hometown. Dr. Edwards …graduated from Whiteville High School in 1990, and his brother and parents still live in Whiteville today. Aside from his love for comic books and Star Wars, Dr. Edwards's hobbies include boating, playing the piano, weight training, biking, and travel.

I am usually in the room without sitting in the waiting room. Dr E is always promt, curteous and listens to my concerns. He is knowledgable with ADD/ADHD.

My grandchildren have been going to Dr. Edwards since birth; they are ages 4 & 8. Dr. Edwards is wonderful with children, he puts them at ease. He is very thorough in his examinations and accurate in his diagnosis.

Dr. Edwards is very knowledgeable when we had concerns that our daughter had ADHD. He was very helpful in trying to figure out a solution to the problem without automatically putting her on medication. He paid attention to detail and help us out a great deal. Thanks Dr. Edwards!

Made my daughter feel very comfortable. he is kind and knowledgeable.I had to wait for 20 minutes but was worth it. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have just successfully made it through the first year of our daughter's life. Thanks to the excellent medical care and oversight provided by Dr. Edwards and the staff MD's at The Pediatric Center, we cleared many illness hurdles with relative ease. Every visit to The Pediactric Center was met with professionalism, care, compassion and sound medical advice. As parents, these are the things we look for in a pediatrician's office. Kudos to Dr. Edwards and staff on creating an excellent MD office environment and for providing consistent, quality care to our daughter.
