Dr. Farr joined Birmingham Pediatric Associates in June of 2000. He graduated with a biochemistry degree from Rhodes College in Memphis Tennessee in 1991. He attended medical school at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans and completed a pediatric residency at University of Alabama in Birmingham. Following his residency, he served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. Dr. Farr is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics. He is past president of the Jefferson County Pediatric Society. Dr. Farr lives with his wife and 3 children in Birmingham.

We began seeing Dr. Farr about 18 years ago when our oldest daughter was about 6 months old. Our pediatrician, who was in the same practice, was leaving the practice and moving to another state. Never once have we considered using anyone else. I would say that 99% of the time, we are able to get appointments - both sick and well - in a timely manner. VERY rarely do we have to see another doc in the practice. My oldest daughter has "aged out" of their practice, and she was extremely saddened when she could no longer see him. He always takes plenty of time to talk with the parent to ensure that questions are answered. Definitely recommend him!

Dr.Farr,is fantastic!Most importantly, my son loves him.My son's a bowtie man just like his Doc??

He is so friendly and really great with kids. We chose him for our son specifically because he was recommended for being knowledgeable for uncircumcised boys. We moved to Tennessee and we wish we could have taken him with us! He is very up to date with pediatrics and children's health, unlike some who are stuck in the past and advise with information that hasn't been relevant since the 50's and he is a great listener to boot.

My husband and I had our first child a little over a year ago and while preparing for him to arrive, we totally forgot to look into Pediatricians. The day our son was born we saw Dr. French and absolutely loved her. When we left the hospital we scheduled a follow-up visit for the first week check up, with Dr. Farr. After one visit I knew we had found a perfect doctor to care for our son. Dr. Farr, who I am sure stays pretty busy, took the time to sit down and talk to us about being new parents and what to expect with our new baby. He has, at every visit, sat down and taken the time to answer my questions and give me advice on the best way to handle the new experience. He has been a saving grace and I abosultely love this Pedicatrician. I have never heard one negative comment from anyone who sees him. The entire practice is wonderful and I am thankful they are here in this area.

Dr. Farr has always been responsive and supportive. Dr. Johnston is also amazing, but LONG wait times.
