After 3 long and very painful years of coccydynia, countless doctors, uncomfortable PT, cushions/donuts, extensive imaging, and multiple injections and other various procedures with no relief, I reached a point of complete exhaustion and defeat. That’s when I decided to fly across the country to see Dr. Foye. I set up this appointment with the objective solely to understand *why* I'm in pain.. *what* is causing it. I didn’t have any expectations that there could be relief, but what I got was so much more. He and his entire staff are so kind, have excellent bedside banner, and they took the time to go through a thorough physical exam, history, and to explain in depth (in many different ways) so that you truly understand what is going on with your body. I really appreciate all the analogies. We went through causes, treatment plans, reviewed imaging taken that day and in the past, and he answered all my questions. After looking at scans from 3 years ago, it was clear as day. If you are… like me, or any of the other patients that took the time to put together a review, do yourself a favor and book an appointment, fly/drive to see Dr. Foye. He truly is the specialist you need. We ended with an injection that wasn't just "sacrococcygeal", but truly targeted to my issues. Thank you Dr. Foye and team.

I have suffered from tailbone pain for several decades. Over the years, I saw many back and spine specialists but never received a clear diagnosis or a treatment that helped. The last specialist I visited suggested the pain was psychosomatic because an MRI showed no problem. At that point, I began researching on my own and found Dr. Foye’s book. After listening to the audiobook, I made an appointment and flew halfway across the country to see him, a decision I am very glad I made. X-rays were ordered and completed prior to my appointment. After a brief introduction, Dr. Foye quickly identified the cause of my pain by pointing out a bone spur visible on a specific X-ray image. We discussed treatment options, and he recommended a cortisone injection. I expected this to be scheduled for later that day or even another visit, but instead we immediately moved to a fluoroscopy-equipped room, and the injection was performed on the spot. The injection has already provided meaningful relief.… When I saw my general practitioner afterward, he was surprised to learn that the bone spur was clearly visible on X-rays but had been missed on MRI. This speaks to Dr. Foye’s exceptional expertise and his ability to design specialized X-ray views that can be even more informative than MRI. Traveling so far to see Dr. Foye was absolutely worth it, and I recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Foye is top-notch in every way. He knows his specialty like no one in the field and explains everything thoroughly. He’s very kind and personable, too, and made my travel out-of-state well worth it. I suffered from tailbone pain for over 8 months and was beginning to feel hopeless until I found his book. He was able to schedule me ifor testing and treatment very quickly and I finally got relief that I’d thought was out of reach. He administered treatment painlessly and effectively. Dr. Foye is the best.

Dr Foye is truly the “Tailbone Guy”. From here on the West Coast, we searched for someone who could diagnose our actual tailbone problem instead of just saying “Well, let’s try this…”. We heard of Dr Foye in New Jersey, on the other side of the country. We were impressed enough from his book and online videos that we flew across the US to his clinic. Glad we did! Dr Foye knows what he is doing; he has evidence-based specific methods and he explains every step on the way. He seems to love his work – his excitement is clear when he finds the particular items making your tailbone misbehave. He’s knowledgeable, honest, caring, and sometimes blunt: exactly the doctor you need for tailbone issues. We’ve shown some of his handouts to follow-up doctors out here and they are always anxious to see what Dr Foye has written. I doubt you could find a more capable Tailbone Doctor anywhere in the US.

I visited after reading his book. The visit was everything I had hoped for. I've had continuous TB pain for four years. Multiple doctors have told me there was no problem. Dr. Foye's X-Ray technique (sitting) revealed the problem (now obvious). After one injection I am pain free. If it returns at least I know where to go. I especially liked the structure of the visit - drop off existing x-rays, get new x-rays, see Dr. Foy, and then get an injection - all in one visit. I live 12 hours away and this process made the visit work for me. Lastly, the staff was excellent - courteous and professional. MUCH appreciated.

Dr. Foye is an expert in his field and treats the patient with great care and respect, as do his staff. He listens, takes his time, which many doctors do not, and treats the problem accordingly. I hate when I feel as if a doctor treats me as part of an assembly-line process, which has and does happen in this current Health-Care environment. Dr. Foye is not guilty of this. Please give Dr. Foye everything he needs to help his patients. I have never felt pain like this in my life, (coccyx pain), and I certainly received relief after my visits with Dr. Foye.

I have seen Dr. Foye twice for tailbone treatment, leaving both visits feeling as though I have a true healthcare advocate on my side. Addressing tailbone issues can be tricky and other providers were never able to adequately address or treat my specific ailment. I was immediately put at ease by Dr. Foye's knowledge, validation of my situation, clear treatment protocol and plethora of educational tools addressing my precise condition. He understands what his patients are experiencing and meets them with empathy. But, what stands out the most, is that he takes the necessary TIME to focus on patient needs - making each visit truly comprehensive. Being "just another number" has unfortunately become more common than not in healthcare and it's incredibly relieving to know practitioners like Dr. Foye are still out there. I have literally flown across the world to see him and would not hesitate to do so again, if needed.

Dr. Foye was the only doctor that was able to diagnose and successfully treat my tailbone issue after suffering for 2 years. He is a caring and amazing doctor. Without him I would not be back to doing the things I love.

My experience with Dr. Foye and his staff has been exceptional from the first phone contact all the way through the procedure I had at The Tailbone Pain Center in the Dept. of Physical Medicine at Rutger’s New Jersey Medical School.   From January through October 2023 I suffered with coccyx pain. I underwent numerous imaging studies and interventions with physiatrists and pain management doctors at the best facilities in Los Angeles. No one had experience with a technique for imaging the coccyx while seated, which Dr. Foye emphasizes is essential to determining the cause of tailbone pain, and therefore, how to treat it. Despite my best efforts over nearly a year, I could not get proper diagnosis or treatment. I spent eight months chasing down this problem with nothing working. My frustration ended when I found Dr. Foye.   His office set up a video telehealth appointment within a week of my first call. During the video appt. it became clear to me that I’d found the right doctor for this… problem. Dr. Foye is caring, personable and compassionate, with a depth of expertise and experience treating conditions of the coccyx that I simply was unable to find anywhere else. He requested all my MRIs and X-rays. On a follow-up video call one week later, he was able to identify and clearly show me that I had a bone spur on the tip of my coccyx, something no other radiologist or physician had been able to see.   My husband and I flew to New Jersey and I had a nerve block which resulted in 100% relief and resolution of my pain over the ensuing month. Dr. Foye’s finesse in performing the procedure, coupled with his clear and constant explanation throughout the 15-minutes it took made the experience easy, stress-free and almost entirely painless. He made me feel at ease and comfortable with his friendly, professional manner and excellent communication.   I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Foye and to have been able to see him at Rutger’s Medical School. Dr. Foye was the first doctor who understood my coccyx pain and took each and every step he could to not only help me understand it, but to successfully treat it. His guidance and treatment changed my life. I have a dislocated/unstable coccyx, and yearly injections are a godsend. He is thorough, patient, receptive, and generous with his time and expertise.
