Dr. Patrick Scott Herd, MD

My son was seeing Dr. Herd for a while now and always enjoyed their appointments. My son was on medication for his ADHD but asked to be taken off and has been off of it for about a year. He started Missouri military Academy this year and is very excited about it. It is a boarding school but he come when they have days off from school. He just turned 18 and is a junior there. He contacted me the other day because he said that he’s failing his classes due to the fact that he’s having trouble focusing. He asked me to call and make an appointment for him since they don’t have phone privileges yet. He is about to come home for spring back our goal was to set a zoom appointment then. Dr. Herd said we can always contact him if he needs to go back on his medication. But when I called to set up an appointment the lady said that now he is 18 they can’t talk to me without his permission. I explained that’s fine I don’t need them to talk to me I just need them to set up an appointment so the… doctor can talk to Christian. They wouldn’t do it they just repeated themselves saying that they can’t talk to me because he’s 18. I explained that he’s going to a boarding school in Missouri and the Academy will not allow him to make the phone calls right now. I explained that he is stressed out and really needs help and all I need is for them to set up in the appointment so he can talk to the doctor. They wouldn’t do it I was so upset because I always thought we could count on them. But in the end I guess they really could care less about their patients because they didn’t make any attempt to try to help us. They just shrugged us off. Luckily we found another psychiatrist that we were able to set up an appointment with so when he comes home for spring break he can talk to the doctor about getting on medication. I will definitely not recommend anybody to attend this office for any kind of treatment.

I think he is a horrible doctor and a very cruel person . Makes people feel unwanted and stupid he is an arrogant selfish man .
