Dr. Patrick Michael Lynch, MD

Dr Lynch has Ben treating me since 1994 for Familial Adenomatous Polyposis. He is an excellent Doctor that does the least invasive treatment as possible. He pays attention to your concerns and if need be will refer to other collages for treatment.

I have been seeing Dr Lynch for gastrointestinal cancer for a couple of years now. His extensive knowledge is impressive, especially about the genetic cancers. I had a number of colonoscopies and endoscopies before coming to MD Anderson and Dr Lynch. With those as a baseline I can say that with certainty that Dr Lynch's skill set stands significantly above others. His knowledge, clinical capabilities, ability to explain, and interest in the patient are exemplary. Also, beyond making the right diagnosis he knows what needs to be done and where to direct you. The physicians he has sent me to - surgeons, oncologists, etc. have been exactly the right people for my situation. He's the best!

I am a 57yr old female dx'ed with Stage 4 Endometrial Ca in 2005. My family Hx has always shown maternal and paternal histories of Ca associated with Lynch syndrome (HNPP+). Only when I saw Dr. Lynch at MDACC for my primary Ca was I dx'ed properly. Having a family Hx of certain cancers which are questioned on all pre-visit screening check lists was the clue. Most MD's or even GI specialists do not pick up the propensity for the syndrome when reviewing the check list at routine or complaint oriented visits. I am now 2 years Endometrial cancer free and am being treated with an NSAID to prevent my 80% propensity for Colon Cancer.The MDACC and Dr. Patrick Lynch have my lifelong gratitude for their acute diagnostic skills, research excellence and compassionate delivery of services in this most grave and underpublicised desease syndrome.What is most discouraging is that with proper standards and meticulous MD screening and education, the deadly repercussions of Lynch Syndrome can be… avoided.
