Dr. Patrick Ryan Marcello

I am the parent of twin daughters who are Mental Retarded and were patients of this dentist for several years. His employee suggested that I sign my daughters with a Dental Insurance that Dr Marcello accepts and I did. I let the office know that we were under the Dental Insurance and tried to schedule appointments. The appointment scheduler kept telling me they had to wait on Insurance Approval. The Insurance Company approve all services then Dr Marcello sent me a letter stating that the twins Insurance was attempting to dictate the terms based on the there policy. Like he stated to me this is his practice and he can drop any patient for any reasons. Dr Marcello stated I could take my daughters to MUSC in Charleston they take anyone. I even offer to pay him with Care Credit or Cash but he said no. None of his reasons were valid. I question him was this a racial issue, my daughters are bi-racial and I always got a negative vive from him and his staff. Now my daughters have no dentist… that will accept them. This Dentist does not care about his patients! What kinf of person does this to a established patient? He is a real jerk!

I was a first-time patient and was pleased by the receptionist and the technician but the doctor is a jerk. He did not even introduce himself before peering into my mouth. I do not visit a doctor to engage in lively conversation but every one I have ever visited has at least introduced himself or herself upon our initial meeting. I will not return to Marcello's office.
