Patrick Mathiasen, MD , Psychiatrist

Patrick Mathiasen, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health care. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of clinical leadership and treatment roles, including as Medical Director of a Geriatric Psychiatry Center.

Dr. Mathiasen provides care for adults experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other challenges that can interfere with overall well-being and daily functioning.

Dr. Mathiasen completed his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He then moved to New York City, where he completed an Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He later relocated to Seattle, Washington, where he completed a Psychiatry residency and a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Washington. Dr. Mathiasen believes that …the foundation of effective psychiatric care—like all areas of medicine—is careful listening and a collaborative approach with patients to understand and address the concerns that bring them to treatment.
