Dr. Patrick Uche Mezu, MD

Saw Mezu at Miami South for a pre -op physical. After nurse did all the work and asked several questions and wrote the answers down, I waited in the exam room for over 1 3/4 hours for Mezu. He spent 2 minutes with me, asked the same questions the nurse had recorded, listened to my chest and billed me for a new patient 45 min office visit. My insurance wouldn't pay anything. I had to see him again to get checked out of the hospital from a hip replacement. After I cleared physical and occupational therapy I had to wait almost 5 hours for him to release me. He finally came in, spent 30 seconds, listened to my chest and said I could leave. I can hardly wait to see what I get billed for this "service". Apparently Dayton Ortho contracts with him. BEWARE!

Husband had to go to him to get the go ahead for kidney stone removal. At this time my husband was seriously ill and no clue why. Had to be wheeled into hospital. This Dr just stood and looked at my weak, sick husband. My husband had been bleeding from the Nephrostomy tube surgery and I asked for him to look at it. He glanced only. No blood work done or anything to see why the severe sickness and weakness. My husband barely made it several days later to see our family Dr. The Dr. took one look and said you are a sick man. Immediately went to ER and then placed back into hospital for another 6 days.. My husband was bleeding from the tube surgery which caused a large hematoma. Severe blood loss. Anemic. And found out the surgery that Mezu approved my husband for (kidney stone removal) wasn't necessary. There was no stone. Mezu didn't take proper care of my husband. Even though I asked. Then I have tried to find him and send a letter of disapproval of care after I received bill. No one… knows where he is. And the hospital said he hasn't practiced there for years. Somethings crazy. I am still looking. I almost lost my husband over this.
