Dr. Patrick Michael Murphy

Dr. Murphy is hardly a traditional therapist. His office and manner is extremely informal, and he tends to talk a lot (think quintessential native New Yorker). However, when it comes to advice, and dealing with issues, he is extremely practical. His insights for dealing with my problems were always spot on, and he immediately cuts to the chase (in between small talk). Though informal, the upshot is I found him to be the most effective therapist I've seen over the past 4 years. His joking manner can be off-putting, and depending on your on your personality he can totally turn you off. But for those who can handle his vibe, he is an extremely competent doctor, and knows what he's doing.
