Dr. Patrick Dale Nunnelly, MD

I was a patient of Dr Nunnelly in the late 1980’s maybe early 1990’s . I was surprised to find him still practicing today. He was a very uncaring doctor in my opinion and the only doctor I ever was physically sick with after a Pap smear because it was so painful. I would never recommend this person to anyone. Please avoid this doctor. at all costs. This is 2020 and I still remember him and my awful experience .

I’ve been going to the OB/GYN Group of Austin and specifically Dr. Nunnelly for 11 years now. I started seeing him for just my standard annual woman’s exams, and the care provided has evolved to so much more – hormonal migraine management, pre-cancerous cell treatment, issues with getting pregnant, cysts on my ovaries, hypothyroid diagnosis/treatment, and 2 successful births (1 emergency c-section and 1 scheduled c-section by choice). Dr. Nunnelly is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and always even-keel. Dr. Nunnelly has performed three surgeries on me. All three of them were not only successful, but I recovered and healed flawlessly due to his pristine work. He’s the type of doctor that you want on your team. And while he’s been doing this for many, many years, I never feel rushed or like just another patient to him or his staff. He and his assistant Maria always give me the time to ask questions and help me feel at ease before major surgeries. I highly recommend Dr. Nunnelly and the… OB/GYN Group of Austin for all woman’s care needs. Working with him and delivering at the Seton main hospital has been a wonderful experience for me.

I have been going to this group for 32 years now starting back when my first and only child was born in 1987. I was about to be a single mom, I was scared and the whole staff helped make the whole experience less scary and wonderful. I have been going to Dr. Nunnelly ever since Dr. Buckman retired. Dr. Nunnelly has done my laparoscopy, tuba-ligation, uterine ablation, and most recently my hysterectomy. I was never worried about any of the procedures. Dr. Nunnelly and his staff always explain the procedures in a way that I would understand and know what to expect. All procedures went smoothly and just as explained and more importantly with the utmost care and concern. Dr. Nunnelly is always the one that does the follow up visit if hospital stay is involved. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else!

I have been extremely pleased with all my care with Dr. Nunnelly and his staff. He is a physician with true compassion for his patients and is dedicated to serving them. He is easy to talk to, compassionate, and yet informative. I truly feel in good hands and he is knowledgeable to guide me through my care. During my pregnancy, his dedication to his patients was clear as he called back after hours and stayed during my delivery after hours. I also really like his MA Maria and his nurse Katie. They have always been so welcoming, comforting, and ready to help in any way. Plus a major bonus is lab and ultrasound are all in same location!

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Nunnelly and The OB/GYN Group of Austin! I’ve been a patient for several years, including through three pregnancies and deliveries, and have been so happy with the care I’ve received throughout. Dr. Nunnelly is incredibly patient and kind and he has expertly guided me through a regular delivery, an emergency C-section, and a planned C-section. He has an incredible amount of experience and can answer any question I have in a way that is easy to understand. He is the only doctor I have recommended to friends and family! His staff and the office are also wonderful. His assistant Maria and the nurses are incredibly helpful and are real pros at what they do. The office has tons of extra amenities – on-site lab and ultrasound, baby care and birth classes, very responsive after-hours call service and nurse call backs. I’ve received a call back from one of the doctors within 30 minutes no matter what time I’ve needed to call on a night or weekend. I would give… more than 5 stars if I could!

Let me start off by saying that going to see a gynecologist is not one of my favorite things to do. With that being said I was having some serious issues that needed to be addressed pretty quickly. I had seen Dr Nunnelly several years ago and was very satisfied with my experience and decided to go back. Dr Nunnelly and his nurse Holly were a blessing. I needed to have surgery and they arranged everything in a professional and timely matter. I had to make several calls to the office before and after surgery and Holly always either answered the phone or called me right back. Now how often does that happen? Paperwork for work was done immediately and faxed the same day. I would recommend this practice to family and friends.

I highly recommend Dr. Patrick Nunnelly for anyone in need of obstetrical and/or gynecological care. He delivered both of my children (both pregnancies had complications) and has cared for me for the past 22 years. I have a great deal of anxiety when facing medical procedures, but when I recently underwent a hysterectomy I can honestly say I had complete confidence in Dr. Nunnelly. I knew I was in great hands and had nothing but a positive experience from beginning to end. One thing that I believe sets him apart from others is that he not only cares about his patients professionally, but also personally. Though it may seem insignificant to some, when I asked if he would pray with me just prior to my surgery, he agreed without hesitation.

I began seeing Dr. Nunnelly when I was 18 years old. Years later, when my husband and I decided to have our first child, I knew hands-down that I wanted to continue seeing Dr. Nunnelly. My pregnancy was high risk due to blood pressure complications and I was in the office twice a week most of my third trimester. Though I was there frequently, I never got the feeling of "same thing, different day". He was always very thorough and answered every question without making me feel rushed. Shortly after delivering our first child, my husband and I decided that we were ready to give our daughter a sibling. We had no idea what kind of struggle we were about to deal with. After trying on our own for two years without any success, I decided to call Dr. Nunnelly for help. After one visit, we were able to rule out my husband as being the issue in our infertility. Dr. Nunnelly explained to me that female infertility was more difficult to pinpoint, but he was very positive and encouraged me to… continue moving forward. I spent two years in and out of his office receiving numerous check ups and tests before achieving a successful second pregnancy. I shed many tears in his office during my struggle with secondary infertility, but was always treated with compassion and dignity. He has always been very understanding and empathetic and with each visit, I grow more and more fond of Dr. Nunnelly (and his staff). I am very proud to call him my doctor and feel very fortunate that he has delivered not one, but both of my girls. I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone looking for excellence in obstetrics and gynecology.

I began seeing Dr.Nunnelly when I was 18(Thanks to the high recommendation I received from my mother who began seeing him when she was pregnant with my sister and I). I am now 25 and over the last 7 years, I have grown fonder of Dr. Nunnelly as a doctor as well as a person. When I got pregnant, I had complications due to high blood pressure. Around week 24 of my pregnancy I learned that my little girl possibly had a stomach issue that would affect her at birth. Dr. Nunnelly was very compassionate while breaking the news and offered a kind shoulder to cry on. His MA and nurse were also very comforting at this chaotic and stressful time for my husband and I. Around week 30 of my pregnancy, Dr. Nunnelly monitored my baby and me twice a week until delivery. Though I was at the office frequently,I never got the feeling of "same thing, different day". He was always very thorough and answered every question without making me feel rushed. When I got to week 40 and was ready to deliver, he made… sure that he was the doctor that got to put his name on my daughter's birth certificate. I am so lucky to have found such a caring and empathetic doctor. I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone who is looking for excellence in obstetrics and gynecology!!!!
