Dr. Patrick Neal Rhoades, MD

I was referred to Dr. Rhoades after being seen for years about my Ankylosing Spondylitis. i went from thinking he would just give me a couple extra Norco at 10mg, but my first visit, he gave me 180 Percocet. Within a year, I was on 240 30mg Oxycodone. After years and begging for a way to get my pain under control, wanting to get off all the medicine, he decides to discharge me. So you're saying, now that I'm addicted to large amounts of opioid, you're going to just discharge me as a single mom, right before the Holidays? Not to mention he would constantly hit on me and say just gross things to me when I would be in his office. He called me a bowl of milk once because my skin is white and 'creamy' in his words. And he wanted me to have his personal cell phone number. Who else does that?! Anyway, beware with this guy. I'm lucky to have an amazing attorney so I can at least not walk with nothing, but that won't be the case for everyone else he screws over.

Dr. Rhoades is an amazing, compassionate, caring doctor! After a horrible experience with another doctor who didn't care about me, seeing Dr. Rhoades was the best decision I made. He truly cares about his patients and listens and takes time with you. I would highly recommend him! His staff was very nice and the office is very clean.

Dr. Roads diagnosed my condition and treated me effectively. This was in 1998. I was seeing him until he no longer accepted Kaizer Insurance. He was the only Dr. that could help me. Since then I have been on Ca. Health net and now have a lot of problems getting the right treatment. And I wish he was my Dr. now, as I truly need him. He is a GOOD Dr.

Every time I go there I feel comfortable and I am treated with a compassion that is unparalleled! Dr. Rhoades and his PA's are awesome

I've been seeing Dr. Rhoades for over 5 years. I'm a health care professional (in the Mental Health field) myself so I pay a great deal of attention to the way a doctor and his staff treat me. Some of the negative comments I've read completely contradict my experience. Yes, sometimes I have to wait. Yes, some of the staff might not have stellar personalities - but they do their job and most are very gracious. The doctor is a pain management specialist and sometimes he prescribes C2 medications so they require urine samples. But no one there has EVER made me feel humiliated or been flat out rude. Very few doctors will spend as much time with a patient and present with as much empathetic understanding as he does. I highly recommend Dr. Rhoades to anyone suffering from a chronic pain condition. I just wish he could also be my PCP. Reviews are often written by people who are angry or frustrated and some people can't be satisfied no matter who you are or what you do. Many times… reviews are written out of anger and frustration by people who otherwise wouldn't take the time to say "thank you" if all of their expectations were exceeded. I believe that if all of Dr. Rhoades patients took time to write a review his overall satisfaction score would be much higher. I have to admit, I'm a difficult patient. I'm very picky when it comes to my medical care. I expect understanding, patience, knowledge, and someone who impresses me as a true professional who chose medicine because they wanted to help people. I have found that here.

Its sad his staff is so horrible because Dr.Rhoades is actually a nice doctor. Everytime I've had an appointment here his front office is horribly rude and spends more time gossiping about patients then helping them. I was told to bring my xrays in, and once I did the girl at the front said-- oh he does not read xrays, just the report. Expect to wait over 2 hours everytime, and expect to be treated like dirt by the front office girls. COMPLETELY RUDE!

I first became a patient here for treatment of severe migraine head aches. After 5 years have had other medical issues that struck me. I absolutely think Dr. Rhodes is an awesome doctor. He is alway very empathetic, truly caring, professional, knowledgeable and most of all helpful. I have always been treated with respect by him and the other providers in his office. Anytime I have had questions they have been answered or if I need a referral they make it happen. I truly appreciate the quality of care that I receive here. And have and will continue to refer people.

I have been under this doctors care for over 15 years. He is VERY patient and will take all the time you need to understand what is going on. I have so much respect this Dr. because he is legitimate and will do everything in his power to help you. He has a great bedside manner and treats his patients with respect.

I'd been going to CVPM for the past 5 years with little to no complaints other than the added cost of random urine tests. Today I received a termination letter. Why? Because last week I was randomly called to come in for a pill count and urine test. I tried to tell the receptionist I couldn't come due to my bz work schedule. She said I'd have to comply. I was not able to come. So now I receive a rude termination letter where they are accusing me of selling my pills? Wow!! unbelievable! New patients beware of this place. They will humiliate you! Consider another office than this one!! I'm determined to warn everyone not to do business with them.

Patrick Rhoades is very unprofessional. I had just one visit with him and I refused to return. He made many inappropriate and/or demeaning comments. If you are referred to this doctor, as I was, demand a referral to another physician.
