Dr. Patrick Michael Schreiber, MD

OK, After reading these comments I nearly rescheduled my appointment with Dr. Schreiber. HOWEVER, when I met with him I was very please with his forwardness, kindness and extremely descriptive & helpful explanation about what was going on with my pregnancy. He was easy to talk to and seemed very educated. Im sorry others did not have the same experience that I did but he was my favorite doc to see there yet (besides Dr. Lee who retired) and I have been a patient for over 20years.

Dr. Schreiber is the worst OBGYN we have ever encountered! My daughter is 22 weeks pregnant, she was told, by a specialist, that her baby has very small and has very little ambiotic fluid left, she was told to continue with her regular OBGYN appts., until she can get in with a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor. She went to Dr. Schreiber, scared and unsure, he didn't even check the babies fluid level or even if the baby is still alive. She asked if she should continue working and he literally responded "Unless you work at a Neuclear Power Plant, yes" , horrible, sarcastic, uncaring! My daughter is left in limbo today, not knowing if her baby is suffering or even alive!!

Dr. Schreiber is the only gynecologist who actually listened to me and discussed everything with me in detail. He has always done right by me and he is an excellent physician.

Rude, arrogant, condescending, pompous, minimal education, the worst of the worst

This "doctor" has seen waaaay to many episodes of "House". I almost lost my life under his care. Let's get real, when you end up working at such a horrendous medical practice as Suffolk OBGYN, you are not "that" great of a dr, mmok??? Zero bedside manner, 1 million points for arrogance. 7 months with this practice have cured me for good. I would rather eat dirt than set foot in that dirty, outdated cattle farm. And no, not only mean and miserable patients leave negative reviews, but also women who try to warn others from going to this practice. Very sad. And we are wondering why our country has the worst record in maternal deaths in the developed world. When is this medical bodega going to shut down???

I saw Dr. Schreiber for a minor rash/yeast infection and he was rude, and inappropriate. He then went to hand over a paper to the receptionist and YELLED for the ENTIRE waiting room to hear: " Do not worry, it is just a rash, no big deal" My friend, who was waiting for me in the waiting room was aghast. How many HIPAA violations do you need to be put out of business "Dr" Schreiber? And while we are at it. The office is HORRIBLE. They rarely pick up the phone, triple book you and treat you like cattle. I guess Drs. value their BMWs over professionalism and care. This office should be permanently closed and the entire medical staff re-evaluated. Shameful and disgusting practice.

Does not care what hurts. Will literally laugh out loud to your face, disregard your concerns, is inappropriate during exams/treatment.

Dr. Patrick Schreiber of Suffolk Ob/Gyn REFUSED to write a script for me to see a women's physical therapist for P.O.P. (pelvic organ prolapse), which he recently diagnosed me as having. I had scheduled an appointment with the physical therapist since I knew that gynecologists are capable of (and do this in their practice). His nurse, Lynn, told me a couple days ago, that "it is not common for us to write a prescription for this." Really? I guess he is not qualified enough to know the duration of visits or how many days per week I should see the physical therapist I was planning to go to. That is all the therapist's office required. (I called the physical therapist's office at St. Charles Rehab and asked the assistant if gynecologists send scripts to them for the same diagnosis that I was given, and the answer was "Yes, always!") This shows what a terrible doctor Schreiber is! I asked Lynn (his nurse) WHY she had not told me this in our initial conversation if "it is not… common" for them to write scripts for patients to see a physical therapist." If he cannot write a script for me to have physical therapy for the condition he diagnosed me with, I wonder if he even gave an accurate diagnosis for my condition. The staff told me, twice, that the script was faxed (and mailed), and this was not the case at all. It was a BIG lie! It's no wonder that I overheard a patient tell her husband (while I was in their lobby elevator)that "this is the worst office" and she would not go back again. I know I will NEVER visit their stinking office again because of the poor service afforded by the doctors and their staff. (I had seen two others here and was not thrilled.) The ONLY good dr. at Suffolk Ob/Gyn was Dr. L. Michael Peters, who is no longer practicing at this office. Oh, yeah, Dr. Schreiber handed me a sheet with names of urogynecologists the day he examined, and all he said was you can visit one if you want. I advised him that I opted not to get surgery. There are many good gynecologists out there -- you just have to do your research and look at their credentials/awards. Does he have any awards? I did not see any.
