This surgeon pushed for gallbladder removal even though all my tests were normal and discouraged me from seeing a gastroenterologist. I’m now receiving proper care for my actual conditions, which had nothing to do with my gallbladder. Proceed with caution and get a second opinion.

Very competent, bedside manner was excellent, explained procedure clearly. So glad i was his patient and didn't go to Sioux Falls. Would choose him again

I felt Dr Slattery was professional but lacked empathy. I feel he needs work on communicating in a kinder way. I also disliked having my history read out loud in hallway. . I think it violated HIPAA regulations.

Just because the patient did not attend medical school does not mean they do not know what is going on with their body. He needs to stop and listen when a patient is trying to tell him something, not treat them like ignorant uneducated morons.

I was in with my husband and all though you were shown to be very knowledgeable in what you were doing. the way you talk down to your patients and their family shadows your abilities and makes it very hard to trust you.
