Dr. Patrick Peter Yeung, MD

To any woman who is suffering from Endometriosis, or suspects they may have it, I cannot recommend Dr. Yeung enough. He is one of the only doctors in Missouri who performs Excision Surgery and focuses exclusively on Endometriosis and current research. His office also accepts insurance, making him far more accessible and affordable. I did have to wait about eight months from my consultation to my surgery, but he is worth the wait. He started my consultation simply saying “Tell me your story” and my post-op by shaking my hand and stating “Congratulations, you’re not crazy”. Dr. Yeung’s entire staff is so understanding and caring, I’ve never experienced such kindness from medical staff or such expertise of Endometriosis and pelvic pain. My procedure was about 3 hours and he looked everywhere he knows Endo grows using what he calls “optimal excision, or see and treat”. He also performed a Cystoscopy of my bladder to confirm suspected Interstitial Cystitis, what he calls the evil twin of… Endometriosis. Any spots he removed were sent to pathology to confirm Endometriosis, and he gave me tangible evidence by handing me the pathology report so I now have definitive proof for future doctors. As I’m recovering I’ve noticed a distinct lack of many pains I had grown so used to. He is confident that if I continue to have pain then Endo is the last potential source. I can’t thank Dr. Yeung enough for not only believing me, but helping me. He also participates in current research and you can elect to have your pathology used in that research. My samples were sent to Paris, France where they are attempting to find a blood test to detect Endo in a less invasive way. If you’re suffering and can’t get other doctors to believe you, Dr. Yeung will listen to you and do all he can to relieve your pain. Seeing him is certainly best decision I’ve made.

There is a reason appointment and surgery scheduling is so far out for Dr Yeung and it's because he really is the best of the best. Women from all over the country come to see Dr Yeung due to his highly desired surgical skills and knowledge of endometriosis. I was very anxious about undergoing another surgery for my endometriosis and I am so glad I was stubborn and waited to see him. I have absolutely no regrets over doing my surgery with him and I am so thankful to him and his team for giving me a new lease on life.

I suffered with constant abdominal pain for many years. I changed doctors often because I could not find anyone who believed me or took me seriously. Occasionally the pain would be so severe, I would go to the ER where I was treated as a drug seeker because the tests they ran only showed ovarian cysts. I found Dr. Yeung through my own research. From my very first appointment, I knew Dr. Yeung was different. He BELIEVED my pain and would do what he could to help me! He improved my life. The process from the first visit to my surgery 6 months later was exceptional. His entire staff exceeded my expectations. On the day of surgery, Dr. Yeung prayed with me, my parents and the residents that were to be present during the procedure. This was so calming and absolutely incredible. I can't thank Dr. Yeung enough for relieving my pain and giving me validation by saying "you are not crazy. There was tons of evidence of your pain." I would recommend Dr. Yeung to anyone. Do not be… discouraged by having to wait for surgery. I promise you it is worth it!

Dr. Yueng is thorough and caring in his endometriosis surgeries. He doesn’t stop until he’s gotten all of the Endo removed that he can find. That means 6% or less of patients undergo repeat surgery. Unlike with ablation or other surgeries. I am so thankful for him. He’s an angel among us.

Dr. Yeung is a prayer come true. It took awhile to get an appointment as a new patient, but it was well worth it. He explains everything, answers all questions and best of all he CARES. He has a positive attitude and truly wants to find out what the root of your health problem is and not just a quick fix. I've had times where I don't wait at all for my appt and at times it can be busy, but because of other doctors and their patients. Not necessarily Dr. Yeung's fault. Either way his staff is always great. If you want a dr that really cares and won't make you feel like you are crazy for thinking something is going on with you like many doctors do he is the one for you.
