Dr. Paul Michael Ahearne, MD

Today marks 1 year since Dr. Ahearne removed 1/3 of my large intestine due to a form of colitis which hospitalized me 3 times in 4 months. Complete resection, no colostomy! 4 days in the hospital and it's been smooth sailing since!! I would highly recommend Dr. Ahearne and trust him completely. His assistant is wonderful as well.

Dr Ahearne is an extremely competent and professional surgeon. He has performed two surgeries on my mother, one being very lengthy. Both experiences were very positive. Our confidence and assurance in Dr Ahearne made all the difference. I highly recommend Dr Ahearne for any abdominal surgery you may need.

Dr Ahearne is an outstanding physician. His staff is phenomenal.

I absolutely loved Dr. Ahearne as a surgeon and is very nice,I only have 1complaint and I'm not sure it's his job to do this.My complaint is I had 1 follow up since the mastectomy and the nurse was it,I feel a little like an orphan ,a little insecure.They recommended me to a plastic surgeon they use but I feel like I'm on my own as I have issues that I didn't forsee with the plastic surgeon but since Dr.Ahearne recommended using him I feel that we should coordinate things better with any issues I may have .I just feel that they should walk me thru the whole mastectomy thing as a team because that's the impression I was under,Now on the other hand they never said don't come back or your finished they did say if I have any issues to call them. So in all fairness I haven't given them a chance to work out a few kinks that I forsee,but that's always the case now surgery is over I know the right questions to ask to make sure there are no complications that could arise.I definitely will use… him again but this time I will be more prepared especially for the plastic reconstructive part.To reiterate I have no complaints with the Dr. Or my surgery I just feel like they should have 1 more appointment for any questions with the doctor and especially to see if my incisions are healing properly and that everything is running the way it should.

Dr.Ahearne was very compassionate and kind with my pain management,he is an excellent surgeon.He spent a lot of time with me,there wasn't anything I didn't like for having a mastectomy it went really smooth with no complications just the way I like it.Pain Free like I never had surgery.Staff was really nice.

I really appreciatec the time Dr. Ahearne took to explain my diagnosis, recommendationand possible adverse effects. He even took time to draw a picture to demonstrate. He was very professional and courteous and made me feel at ease. His PA, Amy, was wonderful as well. I would recommend him/them to anyone. I hope I never have a need for surgery again, but if I do, Dr. Ahearne will be my choice.
