Dr. Paul Alan Mikel

Being pregnant you should have a plan with your doctor even if then end result doesn't go as planned. Mr. Mikel is rude and condescending and has his own agenda, and when questioned has a tantrum... I thought I was the patient. Found another OB.

Everything fast!

I live in Gilbert and I drove to Avondale to see Dr Mikel! I was not disappointed. He was kind and caring and always keeps up to date on the latest CDC, and ACOG guidelines! I know I am getting evidence based care when I see Dr. Mikel.

He left me sitting in the room naked for an hour wo a gown. Then busted in wo knocking. I asked to talk to him about my heavy cycle and he said he couldn’t talk about o me about any concerns before it’s a well check and he can’t bill me for it- I’d need to make another appointment for that. He was very abrasive

He was great at first but then became very rude and condescending, especially as I got closer to my due date. He tried to push me into a c section and got upset when I told him no. He refused to do a membrane sweep because I was group strep b positive. (I’ve done research and spoken with other OB/GYNs and have found a membrane sweep with gbs is just fine to do). Knowing this made me wonder if he is as knowledgeable as he should be. I will never see him again and recommend everyone else to find a better doctor.

Dr. Paul Mikel is amazing. He is very passinate about his work. That makes him a great doctor. He explains everything in great detail that anyone can understand.

I have been a patient for over 16 years. He delivered both of my children and continues to provide me with the best care possible. He is kind and caring, listens and explains, and I recommend him to all of my women friends.

What an obnoxious human, very rude and demeaning mannerism, should not be practicing in a field where he deals with peopoe, let alone babies. He made my birthing experience so negative plus rough with pulling baby out and tearing. Not recommended. Plan on reporting him.

I have had Dr. Mikel for 11 years, he delivered all 4 of my babies (all high risk)and has not only become my favorite doctor but a very good friend. His knowledge in his area surpasses all others and his surgery skills are exceptional! I had one vaginal and 3 c-sections. I have also had 3 miscarriages and he has been there day or night, rain or shine and has always given me the greatest care I could ever ask for. I know sometimes he was sleep deprived and had been working not stop and he would still make time for me when I was worried or needed comforting with my situation. He is a Dr. with morals and values and he has a wonderful wife and family. His staff is amazing as well and his nurse is THE BEST! I can't imagine my child bearing years without him and I consider him a huge blessing in my life and the life of my family. My husband says he is an answered prayer. I believe he has a gift and I feel so grateful to have found him. Thank you Dr. Mikel for all you did, have done, or will… do for our family. God Bless this man!

The dayof my first visit with Dr.mikel he was very non socialable.. Asked me questions as to why i was ther inputing info into a laptop while asking random questions not looking at me once eye on his laptop the entire time. He might be good at many things, but he was not good at making you feelcomfortable. I felt uncomfortable the entire time. He seem to be a little "wacky." After discussing things during the visit, upon checkout it was like he never seen me no good bye.. As i left out of the physician room he talked to a assistant about what he that was going ol n with me aloud in the back office, not even noticing i was standing there... I will never go back there again or give a GOOD Referral..!!!!!!!!!
