Dr. Paul Curtis Bellman, MD

Dr. Bellman has been my doctor for more than 10 years. His commitment to the total well-being of his patients is remarkable, all the more welcome as many of us who struggle with HIV have experienced mistreatment at the hands of other medical personnel. I'm not even sure that I would still be alive were it not for his caring and sincere concern for me. This is also true of his staff, which reflects all the better on him.

Seven years of treatmemt and meeting him in 1995 through a friend whom he treated I have utmost confidence in Dr. Bellman's knowledge and skill in treating HIV.

Dr Bellman is highly specialized in the treatment of HIV. He tailors his treatment to each patients needs which is something even money cant buy these days. Dr Bellman saves lives , keeps patients alive and healthy and is totally hands on. He is the utmost professional and has a nurturing bedside manner.

Hands down - the best HIV/AIDS specialist in New York City. He has offered hope and effective treatment to many who have been shuffled around a system more attuned to clinical checkliststhat individual care. I changed to him after abysmal treatment from a alleged expert at NY-Cornell Hospital uptown. Bellman acknowledges the person: body, mind and soul. He offers genuine care, through follow-up and has one of the most effective and respected staffs in the city.

Dr. Bellman has been an excellent md to my brother. He refers him to the best specialist. My brother gets the best care because of Dr. bellman.

As a patient for 18 years, he runs what I consider to be a life-saving practice. He is a special doctor and a special man whose knowledge of HIV is second to none. Many in the profession are jealous of him, because he takes so many of their patients away. Every one that I have sent to him has stayed with him and thanked me profusely. I never do these online ratings, but when I saw that Bellman's rating was so low I had to say something. I have been with Doctor Bellman for 20 years ever since being diagnosed with HIV. This was back in the day before there was so much hope. Before meeting Paul I went to two other specialists each of whom had me convinced that I was going to die. Bellman's positive approach to my treatment, even though I was very sick when I came to him, absolutely saved my life. I had no T cells and a viral load of over one million when I met Paul. HE absolutely kept me alive until better medications came down the pipeline. Today my t cells are 400 and my viral load undetectable. I am excelling in my work and feel better than ever. Paul's treatment continues to be cutting edge and he includes all the variables in my treatment. He takes a very holistic view to my treatment, checking in with me often about how I am doing romantically, spiritually, professionally. He takes quality of life… into account as much as he can.
