I am a 54 year old female who has seen doctors of every speciality, been diagnosed with everything from fibromyalgia to psychosomatic illness, and have been sick my entire life. After my rheumatologist dumped me and said I should go see a pain doctor (like it was a crime to want to be pain free), my PCP sent me to a doctor friend who had himself had a stroke and was very in tune with his patients. He suspected an illness right away but had to rule out other things first. When I was 52, my diagnosis came back: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. But a question remained. Did I have classic type IV or vascular? I was told vascular, but the paperwork confused my husband and me. My husband researched geneticists in our state and called their offices.. Since my illness is largely fatal in the patient's twenties or thirties, most see children, not adults. There aren't very many like me... alive at 54! Dr. Benke was the only one recommended who would see adult patients. Our first visit was the… biggest eye opener! No, I wasn't crazy! He explained every symptom, every story I've been told, and basically educated me on my entire history! I was amazed, as was my husband, and for the first time we had a doctor who spent concentrated time getting down to the nitty gritty of this illness. This man is brilliant and compassionate, knowledgeable and loving, serious and funny. What else can I say? I thank God every day that my husband found Dr.Benke!

Dr. Benke is the guy i go to when the other doctors are lost or have given up. He has never stopped in helping me to reach the best health status he can provide. After my first diagnosis he kept me on and kept looking; we are now almost done it seems with me having all my diagnosis's down(5 main disorders, two genetic). He is worth the visit anytime!
