Dr. Paul Jeffrey Berson, DDS

I wish I could give Dr. Berson a zero, but I have to give at least 1 star. I was referred to Dr. Berson by a colleague of his when I went to get implants. My daughter paid Dr. Berson $14,400 in cash, via check of her hard earned money, because she wanted me to be able to smile again and most important, to be able to chew food. I was working with Dr. Berson for over 3 years going back and forth because he just couldn't get it right. I was traveling 6 hours one way and would always have to stay at a hotel because the trains did not run after a certain time going back to Indiana Pa. One blunder and another. I experienced racism from his then dental assistant Jessica who said to me when it was time to pick out the color for my dentures, that "people with dark skin, do not look nice with white teeth, only people with light skin and light hair, look nice with white teeth" so instead of bringing me the tray with the various shades, Jessica brought one tooth and said, "I think this is the… shade that would be good on you." Instead of Dr. Berson dismissing her immediately, he told me, I wouldn't have to deal with her on my next visits, yet as traumatized as I was, on my next two visits, who calls me in the room, yes Jessica. I had to tell her myself that I did not want to work with her. This girl really freaked me out. Why would she care how white a 63 year old African American woman's teeth is? After 3 plus years, Dr. Berson left me with an ill-fitting denture. I have to pay another dentist an additional $1500 to fix the denture in order for it not to keep popping out of my mouth every time I bite down. When the new dentist look at my denture, he made a funny face, and I said, I know it looks pretty bad, his response was..."That's putting it lightly."
