Dr. Paul Boulware, PsyD

Dr. Boulware is one of the finest physicians I've ever met. He takes time to listen to what is happening without jumping into a diagnosis. I felt totally and completely comfortable talking with him about tough Subjecs.This is truly a rarity. Thanks so much Dr. Boulware!

Shared ALL the very private information I told him with all staff members who made my stay at St. Luke's a nightmare. I would never trust him again. No wonder St. Luke's has bad reviews. I never want to see him or that place ever again.

One star is too much, deserves zero. My parent was in need of behavioral care and was admitted by the psych assessor. Dr. Boulware turned down my parent at the last minute claiming he/she wouldn't be able to participate in "activities". We were left in the ER for 6 long days. Six days watching my parent suffer. Six days where I was insulted and belittled by the nursing staff for not taking my parent home. Six days where I would have gladly taken my parent home had I been able to get the support I needed. Even the ER Dr. did as little as possible. The incompetent nursing staff couldn't even take a clean urine catch. The director of emergency services, Elizabeth Waack, met us after we were turned down. Never saw her again. Complaining to patient relations was useless. The lady in charge, Denise Dain, pretty much laughed at me. "The Dr. has the last word, she said." Also, she seemed to be more concerned about what kind of insurance we had. Bottom line, find yourself a geriatric… psychiatrist instead. They are better trained and much more humane. As for you Dr. Boulware, you are no Dr. Tafur. Shame on you.

I called A.N.I. and they informed me that they had done away with their Psych division at the beginning of the year. Oh though, after reading some of these reviews I am kind of glad...I'm still searching for a good psych on the west side...

Rushed me into his office with my paperwork barely started. Thought it was nice until I was briskly processed and rushed out again in what felt like the same time I had waited. Actual visit certainly couldn't have been more than 10 minutes, felt like 5. No in-depth on my problems, just a cursory interview and increased medication dosage. Judging from his high marks on all these rating sites, I guess he wasn't at his best today, but that's hardly my fault.

It takes months to get in, even after being established. Then, they change your appointments (happened 3 times) without confirming until you show up. Recently, the doctor has decided that all patients will see his "assistant" instead of him. Not a good thing for a "crazy" person.

I too have a had a good experience with Dr. Boulware as my dr. I was wondering how your other medical truths were uncovered?

Went to Dr Boulware for 2nd opinion. His questions and approach were lightyears ahead of the moron who put my loved one on bipolar meds that were making it impossible for her to function. On our first visit we uncovered medical truths and a new diagnosis that has already returned a great percentage of my loved one's ability to function.
