Dr. Paul Barton Brown, MD

I was on crutches for over 14 yrs. With his help. I walk without aid. Dr Brown is awesome an his staff. Dr Brown has been the best Dr I've ever seen. Did I say amazing. Dr Brown listens and helps if possible.

There was never a long wait. sometimes I just went and was seen right away. Never waited over 10 minutes

Doesn't bill insurance; $525 upfront payment is required for 20 minute first-visit. Private practice so no accountability or quality control. Very brief appointments (20, 12) ; no medical history taken. Had to ask for office notes and they were inaccurate. Totally. Shoddy, money-grabbing practice. Unless you have an ongoing, obvious rheuma diagnosis, go elsewhere.

Disliked Amt of them spent with me , 5 min, hiking prices every year and most importantly, failing to properly informing me about methadone, side effects, the longer one's on it, the harder to get off of it, what happens when one goes off it. Did as described still went into horrific withdrawal. But.........he told me it's a "safe drug." What are all of you going to do when he retires very soon? Think about that..............

fabulous Dr. I can walk and talk because of him. He doesn't take insurance and isn't cheap. He's a Dr you see when others have failed you. ALWAYS believes and fights for patient.

I went to Dr. Brown after suffering for years with acute cronic pain that no other Dr. believed . First visit i was met with the most sincere compassion I had ever experienced in a Dr. I was a patient for many years when my family and I had o move to the east coast i still flew back to see him until I found a new Dr. on the East coast. once again I was met by the medical community with the thought that I was making up my pain and have not had any luck in 5 years in finding a Dr. that will treat me the only Dr. that i can see is a therapist for my pain in my head. My quality of life has changed for the worse . I will be moving back to Seattle soon and you don't know how happy I am to see Dr Brown is still in practice.

I have had the extreme pleasure of going to Dr. Paul B Brown for almost 20 years now. I say "extreme pleasure" due to the fact that I constantly struggle with my health and he is always reassuring me that I am not losing it and gives me so much strength and confidence when I get so frustrated with my illness. I trust him so much. I have the wonderful support of my husband, adult children, grandchildren and extended family but there are so many times you need an expert to tell you that you are doing everything possible and it still is just not enough ... no matter how hard you are trying.He always makes you feel like you are important and your issues are important. He always takes the time to explain anything you might have a concern about. He follows through with any concerns you might have and never hesitates to refer for any tests that he feels may be necessary or to another specialist should he feel the need arise. I travel have traveled across the state for years to see him and now… I travel (via airplane) from another state on a regular basis. I would be lost without him.

I gained more with him in 15 minutes then 10 months with another rheumatologist. He has a sharp mind, communicates clearly, is compassionate, and is insightful. He confirmed my diagnosis and set out a treatment plan that finally makes sense. I felt respected, believed, and he answered all of my questions. His staff is equally caring and professional. I am relieved to have found such an amazing physician. I highly recommend him !

Dr. Brown gave me my life back. As a person with chronic pain, and having it go undiagnosed, I ran into a lady at a pharmacy, and we started talking about where to find a good, meaning, very good doctor, that is not about getting you in and out the door. He listens with great compassion, he has total 100% attention to you and your specific condition. Don't give up, give yourself a chance that you deserve, because after my first visit, I realized this man was not only a doctor but a doctor with great humanity and care for his patients. I have continued to go to him, and all I can say is "Dr. Brown, you are wonderful", I hope and pray you continue your practice for many years to come. You, Bonnie, Polly and all of the other staff are simply magnificent.
