Dr. Paul Joseph Camarata, MD

I took my wife to see Dr. Camarata at the urging of her neurologist. We thought that this was for a baseline checking visit, he had her scheduled for a lifesaving surgery 3 day later after review of the diagnostic tests. They say if you can't explain a subject to a 5 year old then you don't know your subject. Doc C. can. He broke it down into terms that we both understood. In less than a year, we were back for another surgery on the other side of the brain. Doc was AMAZING. He will take the bull by the horns and get things done. His staff is wonderful. His liaison nurse, I regret that I can't recall her name, she is over the top. There aren't words to explain how wonderful she is.

After months of getting no answers from other doctors, Dr Camarata and his staff gave a diagnosis and a treatment plan! He and his staff listen carefully, are organized and caring!!!!

Dr. Camarata performed neurosurgery on my wife, on an inoperable brain tumor, with much success. He is beyond amazing. A great man.

Dr. Camarata saved my husband's life 13 years ago. My husband had suffered a series of strokes and was on the brink of a fatal stroke when Dr. Camarata operated on him. We had made an appointment to see Dr. Camarata, and was amazed to receive a call from him to expedite the appointment after he had reviewed records forwarded to him by the referring neurologist. I cannot say enough about this doctor's compassion and his willingness to spend time with us to be sure that we fully understood my husband's situation and how he would help him surgically. We felt like my husband was the only patient Dr. Camarata had....He made us feel that important to him. Thirteen years later my husband is doing well. Other surgeons in the,area did not perform the particular surgery my husband needed at that time, so this doctor literally saved his life.

I was extremely shocked that Dr. Camarata would question the fact that I pursued a 2nd opionion about my condition. I did not have solid answers as to what was wrong with me so I went to another Dr. while Dr. Camarata was on vacation. I have never been talked to the way he did at my last visit and I do mean LAST visit.
