I have a feeling PCP doctors love this guy cuz they don't have to be the bad guys. Based on other reviews and based on my experience this is Salem Hospital's "go to" bad guy. The PCP starts you on proper pain medication and then they refer you to this guy for continued control knowing he's is the way he is. Trying to get pain properly controlled is a bouncing game but he doesn't even play right. He absolutely will break you down and make you feel like garbage and I feel like it amuses him. My last visit was just a few weeks ago and all I asked for was a review of my pain (I suffer from Fibromyalgia and I have crushed discs in my upper back) since I had been through so many life changes and wanted to make sure I was on the correct medication. My back hasn't been holding up well to my growing toddler. He cut me off mid sentence and accused me of just wanting stronger medication. That was so not the case, I just put my head down and cried. He tried to save face by happily agreeing to send… in the refill for my current medication and said I wouldn't have to see again him for 2 months. This was a video visit (that lasted less than 10 minutes) and my children were home in the next room. I had to clean myself up and continue my day with that in the back of my head. In my personal opinion that's like gaslighting. Its almost as though he doesn't care about quality of life. This is only one of my horrific experiences with him but I had no choice at the time. I finally have new insurance and I'm outta there!

This "man" does not do what's write for sick people.

I have been going to this guy for about 4 years. I don’t know why I didn’t think of looking at reviews sooner. I have felt so bad about myself. He communicates so incoherently. Everything seems to set him off. He’s not logical on anything. If anything changes in the course of treatment he is so belligerent. Now he says my pain is not the drs problem and it’s up to me to deal with it and disconnected the call after he had his say. According to him the pain is in my head. In 2017 I had 2 knee replacements. Now I’m going in for a hip replacement. AND THE PAIN IS IN MY HEAD?? Why did I take this abuse so long??? Why is he so angry???

I have been going here for about 4 years. Have cried many times. He belittled and told me the pain was my responsibility not the drs. Has made me feel so bad about myself. The pain is in my head? I’m going in for a hip replacement. I could go on but I’ve got to find another dr. I went to him and Anna for about two years. No interest in treating the cause of my pain. Kept hammering me to get off my pain meds because I was an addict. After a ER visit for uncontrolled pain, they shut both me and my husband down, would not answer any questions. We left with our mouths hanging open. I cried for two days after that appt over how I'd been treated. Seeing a MUCH better Dr in Portland. He is better qualified, understanding and NEVER treats me like a addict. He is actively helping me address my RSD. The Salem Health Pain clinic is a complete joke.

I was sent to him because I had to have a surgery in my stomach and my doc wanted him to control the pain meds until I could get the surgery. He was absolutely dismissive, rude to the point of abusive, never asked me a question because he knew it all. I keep trying to tell him why I was there for pain therapy prior to a surgery. He would not listen. He said I was an addict, because my doctor had prescribed pain meds for the stomach portions twice. He said I had Fibromyalgia and that he needed to put me on Subutex which is what they give hard core opiate addicts (suboxone). He said I would have to be on BB it for the rest of My life because the withdrawal takes 3 months. He would not answer any questions of mine. He pretty much kicked me out of his room because he was sick of me asking questions. I have no idea what to do now. Anyone in Oregon found a good one yet? I am going to report him to the board. I hope others do to. It takes a large amount of people to get rid of a… doctor. I find it interesting that he has worked in 8 different clinics in a matter of of a few years. Corvallis got rid of him, Salem needs to do the same.

Too many doctors just want to throw a pain pill prescription at you, to mask the problem. This doctor actually wants to improve the disease state by treating the actual disease. For fibromyalgia he actually prescribed meds to decrease the nerve inflammation. Every other doctor I’ve seen just wanted to give me pills to numb the pain.

He refuses to help with pain and treats patients like lljunkies when they aren't. He does not follow the hippocratic oath.

Diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia my first unfortunate visit! I’ve had MS for 25 years, 2 botched cervical fusions, DDD, & many other painful conditions. He never once ASKED me a question related to my previous health conditions. Very condescending & a horrible, person, he needs to be in unrelenting pain 24/7/365! Avoid this QUACK
